Some of the best relating to gaming, popular culture, fiction, and just plain entertainment can be found with the folks at Penny Arcade and PVP. They collaborate on some stuff as well.

XKCD is by far the best comic on the internet. But I also enjoy Cyanide and Happiness and Dilbert.

I used to read 8-bit Theater, Real Life, and VG Cats everyday. Eventually just kinda stopped about 4 years ago.

As for newspaper strips, I enjoy Dilbert and Pearls Before Swine.

Man, I still love The Far Side. I know it's not what you're looking for, but Gary Larson was so brilliant.

Peanuts is great but I doubt he's putting out much in his grave except gases from decomposition.

I also like Calvin and Hobbes.

Okay, this is something I'm quite into! My weekly (MWF reads) list of reads include -

http://www.whompcomic.com/
http://www.amazingsuperpowers.com/
http://www.thepunchlineismachismo.com/
http://www.drmcninja.com/
http://www.awkwardzombie.com/
http://www.channelate.com/
http://www.fanboys-online.com/
http://www.allancomic.com/

I do read others throughout the week such as Penny Arcade, JL8, or VGCats (whenever he updates), but as of right now this is my M/W/F routine and with the exception of Whomp and ThePunchlineisMachismo I've been reading everything in this list for 2-3 years now (Been reading VGCats and Penny Arcade since around the time they started). It's really fun to see the evolution of a comic strip over time! Especially the art in something like AwkwardZombie (one of my favorites). I had a love/hate relationship with F@nboys for a while (been reading since 2008) since it was another one of those "Hot gamer chick + 2 hardcore gamers" comics that were all the rage for so long, but a couple of years ago a storyline was really amazing and it has pretty much been love ever since. I had the same kind of thing going on with Ctrl-Alt-Del for a while, but eventually the hate won out. It just felt too paint by numbers for me. I also enjoy some Least I Could Do and BookofBiff from time to time. Book of Biff has some seriously dry humor though, so it's not for everyone.

I also have one comic strip I read on weekends -
http://www.c.urvy.org/?date=20080329 - NSFW

A friend forwarded it to me a looooong time ago and I've been a huuuuge fan ever since. The whole world is just really interesting. Way, wayyyy not safe for work, though. Plenty of nudity and bangin'. Also, the story does require you to actually read the whole strip from the beginning, so you can't really jump into it as easy as some of the others.
