Amazon has dropped the price of Arrietty on Blu-ray down to just $19.99, the lowest it has been on there. Great deal for a wonderful movie. Ghibli titles rarely go on sale after release week so it's best to pick them up when they do.

huh? I didn't see this mentioned in the BB thread for this week, and Arrietty is $29.99 at bestbuy.com

I meant BB for what I mentioned, though didn't realize it was Target that had Arrietty on sale, not BB.

Now I wonder if we'll ever see another deal on the "Whisper of the Heart" and "Castle in the Sky" blus.

Just bought....really want a deal on Castle in the Sky blu as well.....one can only hope with Ghibli titles. Really wish they would release Howls Moving Castle on blu too.

It's not great, but it has its charms. I remember at the time being particularly enamored of the excellent animation of John Silver. But there's no denying that it suffers from the same lack of magic that plagued all Disney animation during that late '90s/early '00s period that led to the shutdown of the studio for a while.
