I don't use my PS3 much. It's a 40 GB version, bought when MGS4 came out - Model CECHH01. The last game I played on it might have been Siren a few years back. I bought Disgaea 4 recently, and just now today tried it: I had to update from the disc, which took forever and a day. After it was updated, I played for about half an hour, at which time my PS3 hard froze after beating stage 3 - I turned off the system entirely, rebooted, then Disgaea 4 didn't appear in the game section. In fact, no game will. I updated again to the latest version, but nothing works.

Any workarounds? Fixes? Don't tell me my PS3 is shot because of an update! I tried going into Netflix and PSN Home to see if the disc would show up on the home button menu, but alas, it did not.
