You must have a thousand friends on your friends list by now.

I don't understand what the point of having random people on your friends list is. I've got 24 people on my friends list now, and every one of them is there because I've had business dealings with them, Or they are friendly acquaintances from this board. I would never except random invites from people on the net just for the sake of expanding my list.

Best open world Bethesda-style game since Morrowind and surpasses in several ways.

Also Obsidian made the original Fallouts (under the name Black Isle) so it ties in a lot more than 3 does.

It was good... I didn't like it nearly as much as Fallout 3.

I got Red Faction Armageddon. I kinda needed to buy something, too many days without getting anything, and for 5 bucks I decided to give the series a shot, never played any RF game before.

I think I'm gonna wait until the Holiday Sale for Fallout New Vegas. I started playing a bit more of Fallout 3 and I'm still getting used to it, I found it fun and exhausting at different times. I enjoyed the character building, different paths, side missions but found the combat a bit frustrating (I'm using VATS) and the stealth seems a bit lacking, but since there's still plenty to do I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.

Well if you get a Steamworks game elsewhere you get the key but you don't necessarily have to activate it right away or you can even sell it at some point though obviously that is a bit less secure than having something in your steam inventory and trading via secure trade window etc.

But yeah if it's not a huge difference then it's probably better to just have it as an inventory item.

Any chance of Mass Effect 1 hitting $5?

Yeah, that's why I've been really itching to get it (huge Black Isle fan).

Thanks for the advice guys. I guess my only worry is that the game drops in price during the Winter Sale before I get a chance to finish it...or even play it for that matter (damn backlog).

Man I really hope the command & conquer series will be on sale tomorrow! I need my LAN buddies to buy Kane's Wrath so we can play something different from the regular C&C3 we have played every time so far. I already convinced most to buy Company of Heroes though awesome.

Me too and I'm also in the prefers New Vegas to Fallout 3 camp, thought I realize some people feel the opposite.

Well it's $10 for everything which is not bad at all. I guess it's possible they could make the UE $5 at some point, but that would mean they'd probably have to do away with the regular version entirely and replace is with the UE @ $20 retail. I guess it's possible since that is how FO3 is, but the NV UE is fairly recent.

OTOH, Bethesda has been slightly stingy on the sales for its older Elder Scrolls stuff. The Oblivion complete package has still never hit $5 and I don't think Morrowind has gone under $10.

Basically it's a toss up but I kind of lean toward winter sale won't see the UE below $10, but they will probably repeat the same deal then.

I've been keeping a lot of new games in my inventory as backlog. Also, if anything changes I do have the option of trading/gifting them.

I've been told that Morrowind has been $5 in the past. It was several years ago though, so most of the pricetrackers don't reflect that because they didn't exist then.

Smart man. That's the way it should be done. If you're not gonna play it right away, keep it in the inventory. You can always add it at a moment's notice.

I've never seen a game that wasn't already released part of any seasonal sale.

And Last Remnant comes in last. lol.

I just checked the GMG thread, and apparently I needed to do something yesterday to get that 20% off coupon. So no Last Remnant for me, I guess. Unless Steam surprises me and puts it up as a flash sale over the weekend.

I'm with you. It always bugs the crap out of me when I get random friend requests from people I don't know.

I been waiting for Last Remnant to hit that 75% mark (its always been 50% off since I remembered). Sometimes I hate people :(

I know it's not the correct place to ask, but hell, we're all coconut queens here and this thread gets way more traffic than the PC board.

Anyone have any recommendations for a <$100 hard drive? 7200RPM (if mechanical) and reliability are my biggest concerns. I'm stuck in an awkward limbo at the moment as the SSD I got won't hold everything, and I can't play anything until I have another drive I can install games too (and all I can bloody well think right now is "hnnnnnnnnng must play walking dead.") Help a brother out with some good recommendations?

Thanks guys.

I attribute that to most of the voters not having heard of Demigod or The Last Remnant.

Damn, Demigod would've been $2.50 and it has a 4-pack. Ah well. Maybe it'll be a flash deal later on.

Yeah, that's the hunch I'm getting...or at least trying to rationalize so I just bite on the deal now.

As for Morrowind and Oblivion...I can't remember how much I paid for each on Steam. But back during the Summer Sale of 2010 I bought Morrowind GOTY, Oblivion GOTY Deluxe, and Fallout 3 GOTY all for $38.49. I seem to remember that FO3 GOTY was $22-$24 during that sale.

In any case...I'm jumping on Fallout New Vegas: UE.

There sort of were last year. They had special deals where if you bought a publisher pack (only available during the big sale) and a pre-order game from the same publisher you would get an extra discount.

I got an extra $20 off for pre-ordering Deus Ex and getting the Square Enix publisher pack last summer sale. Also during the Kalypso anniversary sale I got an extra $20 off for buying the Kalypso pack and pre-ordering Tropico 3.

Obviously those only really work if you were going to get the great big publisher packs anyway and didn't have most of the games in them.

Anyway, they've scaled back this year as there are no offers like that on pre-orders and the publisher packs are no longer complete.

They had issues with those codes and a lot of people didn't get them. Anyway, to make a long story short they issued a general use voucher code of COSYO-UDIDN-TGET1.

That code should would for anyone.
