But I like bad games. Well sorta. In a weird way. It's kind of fun collecting them. I have to do something because I've run out of good games to get dammit!

Today's daily deals are pretty meh. Unless some good flash sales and community vote sale pop up today may just indeed a well needed rest for many peoples wallets.
I do like the idea behind the flash deals and the community votes, but part of these sales has always been the anticipation of what the next big deal is going to be. While the deals are still unarguably amazing, I think all the repeated deals sort of inadvertently take something away from the anticipation aspect. The repeated deals sort of become the "dud", so to speak.

Limbo is a pretty good albeit short game, definitely worth $2.50

Like Taboner said, its a Bioware game. It is also Bioware at their BEST.

I'm not a huge Star Wars fan either but I really liked the story in this one. I think its because it takes place so long before the movies that its almost an entirely different mythology that doesn't reference the movies and isn't weighed down by it when telling a story. Outside of the iconic Star Wars stuff like lightsabers and force powers, I saw the game as sci-fi, but not necessarily Star Wars. You don't need any Star Wars knowledge.

I got it

As well as the Trainz vs. Zombies DLC

Running total for me this sale: $12.39

Railworks 3 Haulin USA Pacl
Trains vs. Zombies DLC
Killing Floor DLC

It's like Gabe reads all my tweets and fulfilled my railworks dream

The only awful thing about Railworks is that I am seriously sitting there looking at the DLC like "Damn, I used to live near that line" or "Hmmm, that's right down the road" and believe it or not tempted to purchase one of the DLCs... please stop me Coconut Queen.

I'll echo the others saying the Skin Pack is very nice. There's quite a variety and, let's face it, you're going to be looking at Batman for quite a while and a change of pace can be pleasant. It's purely cosmetic though and doesn't affect the game in any way.

I did find that once I finished the game I enjoyed the combat enough to get into the challenge maps a bit and when I did the other characters were quite a bit of fun to use in them.

And shame on Warner Bros for treating their customers that way.

I'll go on record as saying not everyone agrees with what you've just said. I'm one of them. It isn't an amazing game, no, but it's not as bad as that. It's interesting that people are willing to scoop up cheap indie games and look past poor production values, but a $5 DNF game gets scathing hate. I understand the bitterness from long-time fans and it isn't "what it could have been", but there are some genuinely good moments and it's a good eight to ten hours of reasonably acceptable shooting and goofy Duke stuff.

For those on the fence, be sure to listen to both sides of the argument and take into account the price.

Hipster. Hmph.

I really wish the Quantum Conundrum DLC was sold separately. I got the base game and really enjoyed it, and now I can't upgrade my version.

I'm doubting so hard to bite on stronghold 3... if the metascore wasn't so bad I would buy it immedeately. I do want it though... but that, plus my backlog is making me really doubt if it's worth 10 euros right now.

Me too! I'm like okay now I need the Acela train because I used to ride that one and OOH OOH they have the BNSF line that's right near here!

Also, I want to see some videos of that Zombie DLC!

Serious Sam is no more old school than CoD. SS is all pacing-destroying repetitive enemy spam. Old Duke was superior for level design and pacing.

But yes, DNF is horrid for being afraid to even put you in a gunfight.

Oh God D*** you. The only thing that's been keeping me from buying Railworks was that I couldn't find the DC-Boston line. But there it is. Northeast Corridor.

I'll still probably hold off, but the fact that I now know it's out there... it's going to haunt me.

Edit: Oh good. The USA Haulin' pack includes the base game. And there's Zombie DLC. Why? Why am I considering spending $10 on a TRAIN simulator? WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?

Ok, you all convinced me. I'll pick up KOTOR when I get home from work tonight. It's cheap, and such a highly loved game, I'd be a fool to pass it up at that price from what I gather. Thanks for the advice everyone. I appreciate it, my wallet hates you though (all these cheap games add up, dammit!)

Yeah, I already picked up Haulin USA.

As for how it is, Honestly, I've never played the game. This despite the fact that I picked it up during the 2010 Holiday sale. But at that price, and considering how expensive the DLC is, I had to pick up that pack.

I store all games that I buy in my inventory, so if I play Railworks and like it, I can add the pack later. If not, I figure I've got an excellent shot of at least breaking even on the deal if I try to sell the pack off.

If you have even the slightest interest, now's the time to buy.

What is the opinion on the gta bundle and the arkham city dlc?

I see you already own this as well as 3 other friends. Going through adding the free DLC to make my collection partial.

I will justify this purchase by convincing myself I will make the Trainz vs. Bad Rats Expansion and sell it for millions.

I do too but I find too many warts in their campaigns. That said, Blops and MW3 are up to the standard. You know if you'll like them.

I love the old GTAs. I got the pack last sale and I enjoy them, especially seeing as Vice City can run well on old machines.

Arkham City DLC has been discussed quite a bit and I see no love for the Robin and Nightwing DLC. I personally love the combat and played a ton of the Challenge Maps.

If you plan to play the challenge maps and like the combat, get the Robin and Nightwing. If not just nab the Harley and Skins pack

I'm even going to say that despite enjoying RPGs, I really didn't care for a lot of Bioware games prior to KOTOR. I tried; really. I've gave up on Baulder's Gate II twice, sadly. They just weren't my cup of tea with so much dialog, team management, and the slower pacing, so I ignored KOTOR for the longest time.

But once I actually played KOTOR, I very much enjoyed it. Enough that I then went on and played through Mass Effect 1 and 2, and feel like I can give the older games a fresh look.

Railworks is an awesome game loaded with content even if you don't buy any extra DLC.

What are you talking about with "bad games"?
