Seahawks won solely on turnovers. I had ~200yds of offense, only put together good drives when I had great field position, but it turned out just fine. A couple of late TDs did bring the score closer.

I can't run at all :( Oh well. Lucked out this time with the turnovers, so few yards won't work next time!

It took me a lot of games to learn how to run the ball effectively. Obviously, it helps if you have a fast running back. But it also seems like there are certain plays that just work better than others. To me, that seems like the main factor in determining how well your o-line plays...rather than their actual ability.

But that's assuming that you play the game right...and don't just use a speed back to run laterally/backward around defenders who are completely unblocked because they're stupid and take poor angles. But yeah, learning to run the ball like a real football team takes a good amount of practice and tinkering.

No more subbing. People would have to retire their coach to do it...and it also triggers a glitch that resets all injuries (not an issue right now since we just had to replace an owner, but the first point still applies). Speak up if you need him switched to auto pilot.

Yeah, whoever has made the effort to get the game played needs to let me know so I can put the other person on auto pilot. You can't play the CPU unless I do that (or if your opponent does it himself).

And I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but I've sent invites and he's gone offline or disappeared. But I've got a job and need to be up at 5:30-6am every morning, I'm not going to screw up my real life because the earliest time he can play thus far is 11pm. That's just ridiculous.

If you wait till 10 am tomorrow or noon to advance it, maybe he'll be able to get on in the morning since its the weekend but I just don't expect anything other than another late night offer.

Guess it will have to be simmed then. 4 days is plenty to get a game played. If you're both going to point the finger at each other, then there's nothing I can do. For anyone who has bothered to follow the thread, I'm moving this weekend, so I won't be available to advance the league tomorrow. Imagine, people have real life things going on in the midst of playing or even running a league? That's just kooky!

I've been waiting a half hour for the Colts owner to show up for our 9:30 game. Just sim it, I guess. I don't feel like sitting around on a Friday night hoping someone will show up.

I get it. You're new in the league, but you've really got to step up your communication skills. I sent you a PM on Tuesday asking when you were available. You never answered me. You just announced to the thread that you'd play your game "tomorrow". Then, out of the blue, you pm me at 12:01 am yesterday saying you were ready to play. I pm'ed you back later yesterday to actually set a time, which we agreed on 9:30, and now you've not shown up for that.

I have a job, as well. And a wife. And two toddlers. I also just bought a second home and am renting out my first. So yes, everyone has real life priorities. I have been the proactive one in scheduling this match. Heck, you even admitted you thought you were matched up with someone else when I first contacted you! I played all three seasons in this league last year, an I think those players will tell you I always have been proactive in getting games scheduled and played.

All that said, just sim it.

I'm on right now, get on and lets play.

Not home. Won't be back until 11.

And there are several players on here who need to schedule these games. You can't just go, "Let's play now!" and expect the other guy to be available.

Yeah, that happens sometimes when im playing my offline connected career. That one you had I think late in the second was brutal...nobody was near you it was a guaranteed touchdown and your guy just dropped it.

Panthers 35 Bucs 17. I threw 4 picks with Freeman, 2 of them pick 6's. Not a great first start but at least we got our game in (very minimal lag this time!).

This. There's an entire section on "Communication" in the OP. I know it's early in the franchise, and we've got a lot of new players, but we've gotta start doing a better job setting up games in advance. All I have to go on in these situations is "he said, he said". But if it's deadline day, and somebody is telling me they couldn't get anything set up with their opponent, and they're asking to play their game, I'm going to let them play the CPU. That might not always be the most fair thing to do, but the squeaky wheel gets the oil, and it encourages posting in the thread.

Everybody has things going on. We all have responsibilities. We've all "got real life, bro!" But we also all signed up for this league for a reason. Anybody who expects to get their games played by coming in here and posting "hey, come play me now" is going to end up disappointed 99% of the time. We can all do better than that.
