That looks a lot like War of Roses, is it supposed to be better?

They're very similar games but from what I understand WotR plays a lot more like Mount & Blade (combat-wise) and its in third person. Chivalry is more interesting to me because its first person and the combat is more visceral. It also has a kind of hyper realistic look that I like. All I know about these games from Giant Bomb quicklooks though.

I'll check it out. Combat in WoR wasn't great from the little I played in beta. Speaking of beta, Primal Carnage beta is completely dead! I tried to do a quick match, no servers found. Hosted my own match, no one joined. So I just ran around aimlessly shooting nothing since there are no bot options (REALLY!). Hopefully there will be bots in the final version, otherwise I will pass until it shows up in a bundle.

Sleeping Dogs is outstanding. I went in blind on it and it was a pleasant surprise. I don't think it's BETTER because it's different, but this is easily on the level of quality of GTA4, only without the terrible Rockstar writing and with a bit more fun.

And, of all the big Steam co-op games, Payday is the one I will keep coming back to. Yes, I will say it has more lasting appeal than L4D and is just plain more fun than TF2 MvM and is just better than everything else you guys could name. Do give it a shot

Has anyone posted about the free $5 from Gametap for filling out a survey? Go here and answer 107 questions (the first 50 are essentially the same question, which is annoying) and within 72 hours you'll receive a $5 voucher. They have many SteamWorks games, including Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC, Magicka: Vietnam, and some Civ V DLC. Also can be used on games, if you know, you want to spend money...

I had a $10 credit with amazon, so I irrationally feel as though I got Sleeping Dogs for $8.75 (although, really, I paid those ten bucks once upon a time).

Man, I just started Darksiders II last night, too. Now I need to decide which one I'm going to play

But holy crap wow that's the most painful survey ever. I don't think It's even worth $5 of my time going through this crap of a survey.

The first question, "How much do you think this should cost a month?"

1=$15 2=$7 3=$25 4=$30 5=$10
WTF seriously? Did a monkey write this?
Old 10-18-2012, 07:40 PM   #5572
I just watched a movie and hit 9 and 2 every other question.
Old 10-18-2012, 07:41 PM   #5573
When I realized I was on page 7 of 107 I had to close it. Wow.

Holy crap, thanks for the heads up. I've been wanting it for under $20.
