Really, there just isn't a lot of A-List material left that I don't already own so I guess it's harder to get excited. That's not anyone's fault, just the way of things. That said, the actual Steam sales haven't been that amazing compared to those from other places. |

How have we not seen Borderlands 2 down yet? I already own it on my 360, but I have just recently done a major PC upgrade and would rather play it on my PC. Unfortunately, I've kind of set my artificial price ceiling at $25 right now since that would essentially mean that I paid "full price" when added to what I paid for the 360 one. Assumed Steam would AT LEAST MATCH Amazon, but right now they are being beat by $15.

I said it before, but the Thanksgiving sale has always been a little weak in comparison to the Summer and Winter sales. And yes, there is a lot of competition for Steam's customers that didn't used to exist. That being said, it is a good time to be a PC gamer.

Part of me is kinda glad that the sale has been a bit lackluster. I had a budget of $700 set aside to buy stuff that I needed this Black Friday. So far I've spent $600 of that. Mostly all on stuff to upgrade my computer. I've only spent $2.50 so far on games (Star Wars KOTOR 2).
I still have a few more things to buy, so I'm not gonna have all that much left from that remaining $100. |

Having said that... another round of nothing for me! |

Was excited to see Trine complete collection at 75% off then disappointed when I saw that Trine 2: Goblin Menace DLC is only 50% off.
Puzzle Kingdoms is under $2. Is it as good as Puzzle Quest? PQ is one of the rare games I own that I actually played- though it was on the iPad so it doesn't really count. I probably wont actually play PK, so it shouldn't matter if it's good or bad. But, I don't want bad games tainting my library. |

That game was fun. A match game with loot collection and a passable story is a good recipe.

Been doing a lot of my shopping on Amazon during this BF with the $5 coupons. Pretty much everything I bought activates on steam anyway, but I did finally buy Company of Heroes and KOTOR2 for $2.50 from Steam.
Most of the games I'm somewhat interested in have been the same price in every sale for the last year and a half, but Amazon is really doing a good job at getting me to pull the trigger despite my backlog. Magicka & Dungeon Defenders for $2.50 each + a $5 promo code? Normally I'd just wait since it seems like those games are on sale nearly every week, but I couldn't resist. |
