I think that games looks kind of interesting but am I correct in that its a game for creative individuals? I am not creative at all so that's why I ask.

Well, I guess I mean that seemingly starting with RE4, the franchise started changing from it's "survival horror-ish" roots to something more action based. Then with RE5 it really just became a standard action shooter. I liked RE4, but Veronica was by far my favorite mostly because of the atmosphere, environment and story.

I totally caved and bought NiGHTS. I haven't played this game in so long and I clearly have no idea what the hell I am doing but it is the most fun I have had not knowing what the hell I was doing in a long time.

It is the game that will make you ask why you can't be a flying purple jester in every game or why every boss can't be a fat bouncy weeble wobble opera singer bunny.

There's two modes one is the new HD one and the other is the old original Saturn style with the 4:3 aspect ratio. The latter is I guess nice to have for nostalgia and completion's sake but new HD version is where it's at.

Hopefully we will get some kind of discount during the winter sale. I already own the Saturn original and PSN release but would like to have a PC version too.

I'm (Steam) friends with the guy who put that site together and runs it, and he's said he's always trying to tweak his scoring formula, and update the new achievements. Nice dude, and accessible.

When it goes on sale, of course.
I'll be shocked if it actually gets a US release -- the Ice & Blood expansion was never available here. I actually imported Ice & Blood from the UK and had to do some kind of registry tweak to make it compatible with the US version of Sacred 2.

If it does appear in the US, then that'll be the second game I imported from the UK that suddenly appeared on Steam in the past few weeks (A New Beginning was the other).

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but I stumbled upon yet another site focusing on serving daily deals to us on a platter, The Broke PC Gamer (lol @ the controller for the main site image). Basically, the front page is dedicated to the daily deals for the day upon many different sites. Personally, I find it a lot better than anything else I've encountered, even with the ugliness. Just thought I'd mention it for anyone else who might favor it like I do.

EDIT: I bring this delight to your front door:

I'd say it is, but maybe not in the way your thinking. You might wanna check out some gameplay on youtube. If you don't mind him or like him, Total Biscuit did a WTF is about it.

I don't really play multiplayer that much anymore except with the GF, but I used to play Counter-Strike/StarCraft/Doom/Quake a lot. I do have some random Torchlight 2 gear though =P

NiGHTS is a great game and the music are nice too. I still have memories of playing the christmas version with this analog controller made specifically for that game.

That controller looks awful to use. At least it doesn't have the razor blade corners of the Nintendo controller.

The site for The Broke PC Gamer makes my eyes hurt. Although I do like seeing a daily list of games on sale.

Feel free to add me.

Well after a disappointment with Street Fighter X Megaman I found my Yakuza Dead Souls came today. I cracked that baby open and well it's a ton of fun.

Hello Steam CAGs. I used to participate here but since the last Summer sale I can't keep up. Sorry. I miss you all. Well OK most of you.

Falling behind in the Summer sale was very liberating. Now i just lurk from time to time, and you know what? I'm making progress on my Steam backlog because I don't have this thread telling me about every awesome indie title I should get! So I live in ignorance, but if that is the price I pay to actually work through my game queue, then so be it.

However, I am back today because I saw a ebook deal on Amazon that PC gamers might be interested in. Roadside Picnic is on sale today for $2.99. Had to share.

The novel Roadside Picnic (Boris Strugatsky) was the inspiration for the Andrey Tarkovsky movie STALKER , which was in turn the inspiration for the video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (and sequels).

This is some heady stuff. It's not an easy read (and the movie is not an easy view). But if you're at all interested in classic Sci Fi, or Soviet-era lit, you might enjoy this. It's a new translation, too... the last one was pretty rough. If you enjoyed the game, you would recognize many of its elements in Roadside Picnic.

Now, back to my lurking.

Interesting, I did look into that awhile ago. If my book backlog wasn't as long as my game backlog, I'd grab it.

Nice find, in any case.

Download from: http://www.capcom-unity.com/mega_man
More info: http://www.capcom-unity.com/brelston...lable-for-free

Their site seems to be under heavy traffic, so feel free to download it from my Dropbox: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/29343837/St...Mega%20Man.zip

(It's the "European" version although I can't see it being any different to the US version.)

*EDIT* Should also mention that this game has no save function.
Thanks, downloaded from your dropbox.

I got and accepted your invite now.

And I have a love/hate relationship with the Elder Scrolls games. Every time I go away from them for a while and then come back I always seem to spend more time fiddling with mods and configurations than I do playing.

I think I spent the better part of the weekend trying, and failing, to get Skyrim back to the way I had it perfectly running and looking when I played it months ago in the spring and summer. *sigh*

It's been on sale at GMG a couple of times and I ended up getting it there for $7.50 for the complete pack all steam once I applied a voucher to the sale price.

If somebody really wants it and is patient it will probably go back on sale again there or else it might even start showing up in bundles, at least the older ones, since Nordic is starting to work with Indie Gala lately.
Nice.......
