/agree There are plenty of weird and cool videos, but you just had to go and post a weird and creepy one.

Unfortunately this lost a lot of it's audio fidelity in the youtube compression.

DSfix 0.2 is out for Dark Souls players.
"
I managed to fix the issue with the cut-off text and button prompts.
It’s a rather brute-force fix, so please test and see if it introduces any new issues.
This version should also fix downsampling for everyone and may improve texture clarity (forces 16xAF on everything)."

Green Light Bundle is live.
I'm sure some games from it will be added to Steam after greenlight campaign. I would love to have Dino Run on Steam.

Creepy because it has little kids in it? If that is the case then that would be like saying watching the early Harry Potter's would be creepy because they were also kids.

I found it to be a funny and quirky video with music and singing that were oddly addictive to listen to, which has been the case, for me, with nearly every crazy song that has been put in this thread. If you really want something that is actually creepy I can get one for you, but I'm not a fan of the song and it is a super messed up video.

Nope. Here is the most helpful hint ever, it is the one that gets the majority of the close ups.

It's creepy because they way they move is unnaturally fast and sharp. It's freaky.

Is Steam Greenlight even operational at this point? When I go there it just says "coming soon" - knowing Steam maybe it's "invite only" at this point? The bundle itself would make more sense if the service were live, so we could all go upvote these games!

Anyway, I'm picking up the bundle and hoping some of the games make it to Steam. If not, they still look pretty cool!
Old 08-24-2012, 10:35 AM   #1389
It's not. The idea is, hey we put out this bundle and anyone that buys it that likes Steam is very likely to upvote when Greenlight DOES launch. Kind of clever of them.

I played one of those weekends too but it just didn't really do anything for me.

I loved Titan Quest though. I found it to be much better than Diablo 1 or 2.

I guess it's clever, but I have to say the games look terrible. It almost makes the Be Mine 4 look good.

Clever indeed. Seeing as pretty much anyone who buys the bundle will probably be overloading the Steam servers upvoting these games on Greenlight when it launches.

Anyone else having trouble loading Steam? I finally decided to bite on Mirror's Edge for $5 and now their site is having issues. :(

EDIT: Okay was able to checkout via the Steam client itself.

EDIT: Maybe they're prepping for some sort of publisher weekend?
Weekend deals, even publisher ones tend to start on Thursdays.

Yea i tried Path of Exile back during one of the public weekends. I liked it a lot. Ill definitely play it when it comes out for real. Its too bad Diablo 3 didnt last as long as I wanted it to. I think I still got 250 hours out of it. The new patch for D3 seems like step in the right direction, but its too late. Im already turned off by the game. I love Path of Exile's stat tree system as well as the materia-like skill gem system. Its also a nice touch to have no gold in the game. That makes the focus of the game entirely around FINDING good loot. Those scrolls are pretty damn nice too. Having the ability to reroll item-rarity, item-stats, or add new stats to items with scrolls is awesome. I didnt like the multiplayer too much though because everyone was just speed running through the maps and not waiting for each other. Itll probably be better played coop with people that you know.

.... I rethought my all caps post. All I want is the original Day of Defeat to go on sale and why on earth would they not discount both games in this sale?

Anyway, Day of Defeat or Source is by far my favorite shooter of all time and obviously think everyone should get it. I am completely biased, but will follow with this...

Buy it. BUY it. BUY IT!

It's weird... it is almost as if they are backup dancers for a famous singer or something.

I had noticed D3 1.0.4 rolled, but I didn't pay it too much attention. Path of Exile: I really liked the currency system, item random reforging, and gems/skill (tree/flower/cancer). I only soloed, I'm not usually big on playing with random others. The system/structure feels like a grandchild of Diablo II's system/structure, both familiar and fresh.

I'll second this. I put some hours in during a beta weekend back in May and really enjoyed myself. Their passive tree is amazing and allows for a ridiculous amount of customization - every character has access to every option, different classes just start at different places on the "tree". Putting the active skills on gems is an inspired choice as well. I'm very much looking forward to the game's release, but I have no idea how I'm going to juggle it and Torchlight II simultaneously. Maybe one of them will end up sucking and take some of the pressure off
