Why does the Darkhorse site still list Barnes as a carrier? I thought all preorders were cancelled.

Got a notice from Amazon last night that my 2 standard edition copies shipped, should arrive Thursday. I didn't preorder until the 26th, so I'm not too surprised I wasn't included in the first batch of shipments.

My TFAW LE order is listed as backordered like others have posted.

Still haven't heard anything from forbidden planet.

26th of what? I preordered mid August and mine has not even shipped yet.

Well, this news certainly makes me sick to my stomach. My FLGS says my copy should be in tomorrow. Something tells me they messed up and didn't order me the limited edition... :( :( :(

Was it on the top near the spine? That happened to me with the last book I got from Amazon (History of Sonic The Hedgehog). Considering how expensive the MSRP for these are, kind of annoys me the condition these books have been arriving lately. Seriously hope it doesn't happen with my LE.

Why does my packages from amazon come late now? They usually came around 12:00pm now they come as late as 8:00pm, anyone know why that is?

I ordered my regular edition back on August 17 and it still hasn't shipped. They updated it yesterday to shipping soon and charged my debit card today but I still have the same status.

Are you joking? Cause if this is for real then I am beyond pissed. My understanding of Prime was it was free 2 day shipping, NOT preferential treatment on pre-orders.

This seriously has me pissed enough to quit using Amazon altogether. If I have to buy Prime in order to receive orders like this then I will quit using Amazon altogether, there are plenty of other digital sites I can shop at.

If you use 2 day shipping on pre-orders, you get it on the day of release.

Most carriers deliver up until that time. Usually UPS gets here early when I order a package of dental floss from Amazon and forget about it, and at 7:45PM when it's something I'm looking forward to. Case in point, there were here just before 8PM last night with my Ni No Kuni Wizard Edition, the day before that they were here at 10AM with some spare rechargeable AAA batteries. Thank God I didn't have to spend the rest of the day worrying about those ing batteries.

I ordered a standard edition on January 26th also in case my LE order falls through, and received shipping confirmation this morning. It doesn't really make sense that they would prioritize post-release Prime orders over someone that preordered months ago, but it seems like the overall customer service at Amazon has dropped sharply over the past year.

Personally I wouldn't stand for a dented book. Especially on the regular edition since they aren't rare! On the limited edition, that would be a different story. There's a small limited quantity and I'd be happy to just get one at this point.

I however was one of the lucky people who live in NYC and was able to get my preorder on the 25th at the nintendo store. I caught wind thanks to local people that the nintendo store was still selling them the next day so I went back and got an additional copy that I will keep sealed and on display. My fiance also bought one, didn't care for it that much and sold it on ebay for a ridiculous amount... *Shrugs* She doesn't care for collectibles and I think she got caught up in the hype thanks to me but shortly after realized she didn't need or want it.

I also have a copy on preorder from TFAW but I wasn't sure if that was going to get cancelled or not. All in all, I'll have 3 copies if this TFAW order goes through. Not sure what I'll do with the 3rd copy since I only want to for my personal collection. If TFAW doesn't ship, then I'll have 2. Win, Win either way.

Good luck to you all getting your preorders. It's an amazing book. After handling the LE I couldn't even think about settling with a standard edition.

Got mine today that i ordered a while ago...they threw it in a box with some lysol cleaning wipes and toilet bowl cleaner that I ordered the other day. Sweet. Need to check if there is any damage later.

you probably should have just bought a copy and not your preorder during the early release. A friend's cousin got a copy then and will pick up his preorder later in the day.

Apparently Nintendo World is sold out and just has LE preorders left. I wonder if they'll sell leftovers and if the official release is today or Feb 12 as Darkhorse claims

Of course it's preferential treatment over preorders. The whole point of Prime is to guarantee delivery of items within 2 days of ordering or release to people who pay a fee annually for the service. Why would someone who is getting free shipping get priority over someone who is paying for a certain level of service? It's the same for many retailers including Gamestop, Toys R Us, etc...free shipping is slow because it's essentially done at a loss to the retailer.

I used to have Prime, but now that I don't use Amazon very much given their poor package handling and repeatedly sending me damaged CEs, I didn't renew this year. Amazon consistently takes 3-5 days to even ship my items now plus transit time which is fine since I'm not paying for shipping.

Niiiice. Mine should be here today...but I guess I won't know until I get home. It was shipped Smartpost, and has been sitting in my area since 7:35 AM yesterday along with my Ni No Kuni guide (separate orders).

Disappointing that Amazon isn't packaging these better, they will probably do the same to the LE. I hope not, though.
