Actually speaking of the game for a change but are there any major differences between the two versions of the game?

3DS having two screens and Vita having one will have to change the interface to some degree I'd imagine but I wonder which version of the game they developers would coin as the "definitive" one to play?

Either way, demo going up next update so I guess we'll find out.

Supposedly, the touch screen controls on the Vita aren't so hot, but the graphics look much better.

I didn't know which version would be better so I ordered a vita and 3ds. Glad I got in on this.

This. From what I've heard, Vita has better graphics while the 3DS version supposedly has better controls and 3D. I went with the Vita version.. worse controls I can deal with, but if the graphics are better I'd rather get it for Vita. What I do know is there is no "definitive" version.

Higher resolution screen, makes sense that it would look better.

Better graphics are fine and all but I just like the fact that the screen is bigger. There's no standard stylus for the Vita from what I can remember so I can imagine the touch controls not being as precise with your finger but what's stopping people from just using a DS stylus or something on it while playing games that require precise touch controls?

Or is it just some hardware thing that makes it less sensitive/precise?

3DS has a resistive touch screen, Vita has a capacitive screen. See here. Though you probably could get a stylus that'd work with the Vita.

I went with the 3DS version, partly because 999 was on the original DS, and partly because I'm getting a 3DS XL and the screen on that is almost the same size as the Vita anyway.

As far as I know, the watch does not come packaged in with the game, it comes in its own separate cylinder container. So yeah, they are just adding 1 to the box. The different SKU's is probably to determine which copies of the game must have a watch including in the shipping box.
The multiple orders is going to be a bit tricky. It sucks that some people were able to violate the rule of one watch per version per household but there is a chance Aksys might clean that up. They've been acting as middlemen on Neo, helping customers with watch inquires and retroactively adding watches to orders that met their pre-order criteria but did not have one applied by Amazon.
They catch wind of this abuse, chances they might step in to fix it and stand behind their "one per" rule and drop the ball on Amazon's court to deal with all the "entitled customers" that want their extra flipping watches.
TLDR: Amazon to deliver one watch on multiple orders and credit $5?

For them to have to do all that (add the watch separately) is to complicated of a process. It will probably just be the container with a special sku sticker attached that amazon will be able to scan to complete the order for shipping. Inside will be a copy of the game and the watch. Amazon can not send you something different then what you ordered (it specifically says preorder bonus included in the description), they can however cancel the multiple orders if they want too.

I agree. Amazon also doesn't want to deal with the hassle of packaging things together. They will demand that aksys send them prepackaged game+watch units that they can just ship out. Much like how etrian odyssey 3 was done. Or batman AC CE.

I was out all day. I checked late last night and this morning and saw just the regular standard edition... im assuming the watch was put up again and sold out immediately? I dont see it up at all right now.

If thats the case what did it show when it was avalible? Did it say limited edition or something?

Did you guys miss the part where I confirmed that you couldn't buy multiple copies of either version today (3DS or Vita)? Neither Aksys nor Amazon will have to step in because it wasn't possible to order two on the same account.

Yes, but most of the concern was from people saying you could buy multiples of the 3DS version. You couldn't - I tried to get a second one for a co-worker, it auto-corrected my cart to remove the item when I tried to check out.

Hahahaha. Yep that's right I ordered a vita and a 3ds just so I could play this game on both consoles. o.O I'm probably going to keep the Vita version, it's been sitting in its case for a month already. I'll give the 3ds version to my sister.

Just researched and the ones with the preorder bonus do have a different sku then the normal editions. So they will come prepackaged (game and watch) from aksys.

Yeah I didn't try, I just didn't know which one I wanted at the time so I ordered both. I can understand why they limit the orders, but I think they should have made it two instead of one.

But I ordered more than two on the same account... they just need to be different addresses.

i think they went around 1pm est yesterday cause the 3ds sold out around 2pm and they said they lasted about an hour
