This search bar is a powerful tool for navigating CAG. You can use it to find the lowest prices on games, trade-in values, search members, forum and blog topics, and much more.
After searching for a game title, click the
icon to pop-up a window with pricing information.
After typing in what you are looking for, you can filter your results by clicking on one of the tabs that pops up from the top of the search bar.
Looking for a game on a specific platform? Type in the platform name with the title!
Example: guitar hero 360
You don't need to click a pop-up tab to filter results. Just type what you are looking for right into the search bar.
Example: gears of war prices
Example: ninjatown review

No problem, sir. I know you're busy. Thanks for price matching the Silverfall stuff, though! |

While I agree with the suggestions, I will say that if you choose the categories on the left side of the screen (Action, Adventure, etc.) you can then sort by price and see what the cheaper sale items are. You might miss some of if you don't browse the "Casual" section since some games are categorized there.
I don't mind browsing the main sale link since it's only 11-16 pages of things to look at, though other stuff is on sale and not included on the link. Finally, I still find Amazon's storefront light years better than Steam. I hate Steam's store client. Their website is a little better, but I never use Steam to browse casually for games. Too annoying/slow etc. |

1) Prefer to spend Amazon credit 2) Have a lot of $5 coupons 3) See no other Editor's Choice game you want For me it is costing $5 AND one of my coupons for waiting for Hotline in January. There is a chance it will be on sale for $7.50 adding an additional $2.50 in savings but still using one of my coupons. I went ahead and bought the steam version so as to save the coupon for another game. |

Yes, there are categories but that's not much of a feature. As much as I agree the way Steam's store works isn't good, at least they have sorting and advanced search options that allow you to filter based on price, publisher/developer, language, and game features like multi-player or single player or controller support. Amazon has none of that. You might be okay with browsing through 16 pages looking at each one to see if any interests you, but that's still a lot of work for most people. When you have 80+% sales the goal is to get impulse purchases, but I'm betting Amazon is losing a lot of potential sales because people don't even know there are heavily discounted games that they might have otherwise purchased buried deep inside one of those 16 pages. Even if you've got the time to go through the entire list it's still very possible you would have overlooked something. Allowing people to at least sort the list would be extremely helpful. I've not seen one other store without the ability to sort their catalogue in some way, it's really kind of ridiculous that a huge store like Amazon doesn't even have that basic function. Edit: Actually I guess Steam doesn't really have sorting for games on sale either. I thought they had that option. But even then their main store has a lot more features than Amazon's (the ability to filter items), so I still don't see how Steam's is worse (again, I don't think it's good either, but I still think it's better than Amazon's).

For one, Steam's store is completely unusable to me in the client. I can't tab anything so I literally have to open one game, go back, repeat. Completely annoying. I never use their in client store period. Online, their store is a little better, but I shouldn't have to resort to the secondary version of their store to get the best version. Even online, their categories are lacking and they are the equivalent to Amazon. Choose a Category (Action, Adventure, etc.) sort by price. Amazon has those same features. Steam doesn't even bother to have a "Games on Sale" link. You have to browse everything or search to see if the game you want is on sale. So I don't really see how anyone can say Steam is better. They are on par or worse than Amazon to me. |

Is there a link to the list of games that will be on the editors choice I can see?

Check out their advanced search options - it's still much better than Amazon's main Digital Downloads store. You can at least filter out demos, DLCs, limit your search based on prices, publishers, developers, or only look up games with multi-player or only games with achievements, etc. It's a lot more featured than Amazon's, which just has a sort function in their main store. |

I didn't mean to ignite a debate about which storefront is better. I just find it difficult, personally, to use Amazon's Digital VD sale pages. Someone mentioned it's like upending a toybox and that's precisely it. It's super-hard to know when something new goes on sale and the dates are all over the place - witness the half dozen people every few pages that are upset they missed a sale item.
I'm not trying to pile on. My first post was just to try to give some feedback on the site. I've said enough, I think.

Likewise, I'm just speaking for myself. If others find it easy or good enough, that's cool. Personally, I wouldn't have bought half the stuff I have or shared half the deals I have on other forums except for Tony's work here. Left to my own devices to find the deals on Amazon DVG, I would have missed most of the stuff.

Tony,
Again, thanks for the PM on Silverfall. Question re: Editor's Choice stuff. With Saints Row 3 base game being on the list does that mean the Complete Package you sell would also be eligible for the promo codes in January or will the codes only be good on the base game? Also also, agreeing with Yurtle the Turtle above: the Amazon site is really clunky. Were it not for you posting here I'd miss out on most of the sales. |

Steam also has a button that shows only games on discount every time of the year except during sales, because during sales nearly everything is on sale, so it would be pointless. Look I'm not saying the Steam store is the best solution and couldn't be improved, but I can't understand your argument here. |

Release Date Operating System Brand (Publisher) Amazon Customer Rating ESRB Price % of Discount That is more than enough for me. I don't really use the multi player, achievement, etc. And in both cases (Steam and Amazon) you have to first choose a category before being able to sort. So I just don't see the "much better" argument.
I'm not trying to make this a retailer vs. retailer thing, but I just noticed a string of posts about "OMG how can amazon have such a horrible interface, etc." I agree Amazon's interface could use vast improvement, I was just pointing out that the king of digital distribution also has a lot lacking in their storefront, we just don't have anywhere to sound off about it.
Anyway, I've said all I need to say about this. It's hard enough to sort through the deals without having to read stuff like this, so the issue is dead on my side. |

Just got the Majesty Bundle and I did not receive a Majesty Gold HD key. Is it included with the Majesty 2 Collection key that is given with the pack, is mine missing or has Amazon run out of keys to give?
