Tony,
is there any way we can get a deal/ editor's choice for The Testament of Sherlock Holmes?

and how about some type of square enix pack that includes dungeon siege 3 and the kane and lynch games?

If Tony's going to ask for feedback that is actionable, he should accept it, no?
Are you talking about this post?

I was referring to your post as an example of feedback that is actionable...

Ironically, I took your example, and that of those responding like you, and we built a rule around it...which I would say is the epitome of accepting feedback, no?

Cheers,
Tony

It has unlisted 3rd party DRM with a 3 machine activation limit.

I know Amazon guarantees to give a new key if you ever get locked out but in the case where a game you buy on Amazon is Steam redeemable with 3rd party DRM I don't know what would happen.

I mean if you get a new key it's not like you can add it to Steam again because as far as Steam is concerned you already own the key.

If you really want that game it may be safer to go for the non-Steam version. Just my two cents.

Complaints regarding the quality of deals:

If you are unhappy with the quality of a given deal, do not post feedback that is not actionable. This negativity invites response by those who may have previously requested the deal you are commenting on. If you would like to leave feedback on the quality of a deal please structure it as 'I am not interested in this deal but I would be at $xx.xx'.

Please do not expect a response, from Tony or others in the thread to such complaints, these discussions tend to immediately derail the thread for pages.

Lastly, if you see a complaint and you'd like to respond to it, please do not, these conversations have proven unproductive and thread derailing.

As always, report all posts that break the rules, or feel free to PM me.
That bold part pretty much is the second part of the problem, if criticism is given in a constructive manner, people don't really need to reply. Everyone is entitled to their very own opinions, and to express them as long as they do it with respect.

I'm game for that, I'm a big fan of the game and it works too well for me but with the level of poorness the port has, it's hard to recommend it to people at any other price.

Oh, yeah - that's an absolute AWESOME deal for YOU.
That's 4 that you so happen to be missing of the 6.

Which is why we created a rule to address it .

What surprises me is with the apparent reality that THQ won't even have control of its franchises in two weeks why they don't just green light an a la carte sale on everything they own 75% off. Although at this point they might not have the legal authority to do it.

EDIT:
Also, I wouldn't mind seeing a sweet deal on the EC for Space Marine on the by itself alone below the cost of the Tantalizing Pack ($11.99 before coupon / $6.99 after coupon).
Pretty sure that pack was $5 after coupon in December, so don't be too worried about missing it this time around.

Ask around in the trade thread to see if anyone has a spare Space Marine from the pack. I was able to get one for a buck or two; it's not a very sought after game.

I never recall seeing Space Marine for less than $7.50 by it's self, but there are five price trackers in my sig ^_~. At least on Amazon your extra keys don't go waste. Given the upcoming THQ auction, it seems advisable to grab it soon.

I have off-topic questions about the whole THQ thing.

What happens to THQ's developers? Are they included with their franchises in the sale? Are they all going under with THQ? Are they "independent" now?

Will they still get to work on their respective franchises? I mean, you can't really have Saint's Row without Volition, can you?

Was that during the THQ Present $5 off coupon sale?

No one other than the people negotiating this process will be able to tell you that, anything else you hear that hasn't been released by those people is likely speculation.

It was $5 after the $5 THQ coupon, which only people who purchased something from THQ in 2012 got.

Tony

The THQ Humble Bundle was pretty darn close.

Not sure if the studios will go along with the respective IP's but I do know THQ actually does own Relic, Volition, Sigil and THQ Montreal. So presumably that's counted amongst their assets.

Thanks for the response, Tony!
I bought SR: TT - The Full Package (to get all the DLC) for $2.49 w/ that THQ coupon!

Mooby, I'm with you, been wanting SR2 and missed it during the 3.74 during the holiday sale. Played it on xbox and seriously think it was a better game overall than sr3.

Yeah, that was a pretty sweet deal. I got in on that just for the dlc as well.

Oh, man! I just gave away my last extra SR2 key yesterday after being turned down no less than twice. I would've gladly flipped it to you..

Is it me, or is giving away extra stuff getting harder?

Hey Tony,

Will Vessel drop any lower? I'm interested in this title, but not at $14.99 ($9.99 with EC Credit). I'd be more interested if it were at $9.99 ($4.99 with EC Credit).

My price point on most games is normally $4.99 - $9.99 so I jumped at a lot of the slick bundles you guys had going over the holidays. I still have 4 EC credits I'd like to use, (already used one on Darkness II and Hotline Miami), but I seem to have run out of cheaper titles to burn the rest of my credits on. TWD for $12.49 ($7.49 with EC Credit) was a nice touch, but sadly I'd already scooped this about a month ago for $10 from gamefly. I'd chase some of the bundles you have in the $4.99 - $9.99 range, but I already went after them during the holiday. I also would have jumped at Spec Ops for $7.49 ($2.49 with EC Credit), but I already scooped it in your Desert to Sea Bundle around X-mas.

Thanks for listening and thanks for everything your doing for us. It rocks, this post isn't meant to start a flame war or anything, just trying to provide constructive feedback for ya.

Thanks,
Tanner
