Is the Walmart ad usually at the front of the store? At Target, do you guys PM at the checkout counter or at customer service?

The Mine scanned at that price in WM which was nice. I don't think it's a price mistake, and TRU calling it out like that are complete dicks.

I WISH there was a TRU close enough so I can waste my time fighting with them.

Their price match policy will get an addition of "Max discount 5%".

It would have been hilarious to see all the mines go out for a loss of $70 because you know they have them 10% above MSRP.

With Target's price matching, you may need a shift manager, but you can do it at the register.

I had to PM at TARGET at the Customer Service desk. She said that is the only place to do it. Worked out well. I'm thinking of getting a 2nd since this deal seems great, but I won't probably.

I got two of the Mine from Target last night, pricematched at customer service for $39.97 each plus a 5% off your Target purchase card that came in the mail plus an additional 5% off for Target redcard. Worked out to $72.xx plus tax. I was pretty apprehensive that they would not do the pricematch when the CS gal took the ad to a manager or would limit me to one, but he came back and adjusted the price on both of them as well as took the 5% discount card.

Heh, just about every Target in LA has been wiped out of the mine. On top of that, seems people are calling Targets and having the employees put them "on hold" or "reserved" behind the electronics counter or at customer service in the front, obviously to come in later and attempt price matches with the Walmart ad. Apparently Target will hold an item for 24 hours/until close of business, but there is no real verification process of the reservation.

The set is pretty damn nice, lots of gold and "precious metal" pieces , lots of TNT and interesting construction pieces. Great construction addition for the town/city. I got that new police truck with the gold mine (and a crook who just happens to be stealing a gold bar...from a gold mine...guess the mine also had a equipment for melting/refining any gold found) during the Target summer clearance for something ridiculous, like $8, so it will go great with that.

Toys R Us has a Bricktober event on Saturday the 27th. I've never done one, but plan on taking my daughter. What time should I get there? Is there like a huge line usually? Says 12-2pm

Just depends on your area, the last one I went to (superman/batman) we got there around 30-45 minutes early and they just happened to start at that time.

Really like the set, but I am a big fan of the Monster Fighters line.

I really like the Castle, for that price I'd get it. I'm also a fan of that series, as we have every set in the line, including the Haunted House, which is easily my favorite in the set.

Hi all, just a few quick questions. Does anyone know where I could possibly still get Lego set #8129 (ATAT walker) without paying the "ebay tax"? I have been looking for that set to complete my hoth collection, but have had no luck. The other thing I wanted to know was, I am dying to build my millennium falcon, but am worried that I will drop the value significantly in the long run. Should I just suck it up and build it? (the collector inside of me is saying heck no!)

Oh and btw, if anyone is interested, I have an extra sealed minecraft lego set that I would be willing to sell. My friend bailed on me last minute so I am stuck with an extra set. Looking to sell it for $40-45 plus shipping. I posted here just in case some of you do not check out the sale thread.

Buy duplicates if you can't decide. Although, i can't imagine how fun it is to spend hundreds of dollars on legos to just admire them in their boxes.

If you have to get your ATAT from ebay, get the motorized set...hands down the most kick-ass set I own.

Yeah, build the Falcon, it's pretty damn cool even if it isn't the CS version. As for the Minecraft set, it's been popping up on Amazon pretty frequently for $35 + free shipping. Unless it disappears before the holidays I wouldn't expect to get a markup on it.

Question, is there any way to get the SW Battle for Hoth game stateside? Looks like it's a foreign release. Was it ever released here? I could have sworn I saw it on shelves at some point.

Yeah, you're complaining about ebay tax and then you want us to pay a $10 markup for something that is regularly available for MSRP? This is CAG, man.

On ebay its going for $60...and i am asking for$40-45? I did have to pay tax and shipping so what exactly is your point? $34.99+7%tax=$37.44+$6.95delivery=$44.39 (got it from lego.com). I know it's CAG hence the reason I am selling it for the price I paid for it.

Thanks for the info on the ATAT and millennium falcon. I am just going to build it.

I'd build the MF, Lego will make another one in 4 years anyways. If it's ever 35%+ off I'd buy it and build it in a day.

Interesting....I guess I'll just shoot for a little before noon. Give my daughter some time to look around.

There is this (horribly tame) gay store in Northampton Mass. This was in their display window...

So, you're concerned about the value in the long run of a set if you build it. You're worried that building it will effect the eBay tax you can charge later. You also don't want to pay the eBay tax on a set that's discontinued. I'm just confused.
