Didn't realize there are still demand for LE version. Very fun game indeed. Was hesitate back then when ordering it due to shipping but heck, I love DJ Max limited editions though I have none, I ordered it anyway since it's first DJ Technika LE edition in US. Definitely worth the buy consider how limit it is.

12:03:36 order time and no cancellation (yet). Here's to hoping.

If it gets canceled I'm going to kick myself for taking the time to type in a new credit card to use rather than just doing an instant transfer on PayPal.

Only about ten orders were canceled and it seems half of those are members here.

I used PayPal to save time. I got in when stock was around 29.

Got my tracking too...

Pentavision is acting like an amateur eBay seller who got screwed over one to many times though...

I mean seriously they pick UPS, charged padded UPS prices and then put Signature Confirmation on a ~ $120 shipment?

Small time I suppose

They are a tiny company and they only sold 750 units of this thing. If the game is damaged or stolen, they don't want to be stuck with the loss. UPS is much better at claim handling than USPS as far as promptly and fully paying out damage or loss claims. Also, the UPS rates they charged are actual UPS rates. I checked the label on the unit I received during the initial sale and it was within a few pennies of actual UPS rates.

For 3lbs they could have shipped it priority mail (2-3 day) to almost anywhere for no more then $10 and presumably less to areas in their region or if they used regional priority boxes.

UPS ground for most is going to be about 5 business days. I would much rather take the risk of an item being in USPS care for 2-3 days then UPS for 5; especially for a fraction of the cost. Not to mention they could have gotten these to their Global audience for about $50-$60 by USPS Express instead of the $100+ that UPS was charging.

[Cue the "POST OFFICE SUX" rants]

They also could have insured these for about $1 using a third party insurer.

And signature confirmation is ridiculous and a wasted expense on their behalf; no credit card company (or PayPal) requires it on a shipment less then $250 and it won't help win a dispute on a shipment of this value.

Small business or not they aren't using much business sense.

I'm guessing you've never actually used UPS before.

The reasoning behind using UPS has already been stated. Complaining about them not using USPS after you've been told why they don't is just stupid. :r oll::rol l: :r oll:

Signature confirmation is a good and cheap way to avoid fraud from people claiming someone else signed for something and then stole it. USPS has terrible package handling and tracking. Have you ever tried to find out where a misrouted package is by speaking to someone on USPS's 1-800 number? How about trying to track something shipped USPS internationally? As soon as it leaves the US, they basically direct you to the receiving postal service and if it's lost or stolen, good luck filing a claim.

Frankly, I am pretty disgusted by all the complaints people had against Pentavision. They actually manufactured a really neat and limited collector's edition and yet it still wasn't enough for people. If the UPS charges are too much for you, perhaps you shouldn't be buying $100 games.

This is an absolutely foolish post.

Thank You Pentavision for making a great game, a well thought-out LE, carefully packing it, Insuring it and making sure I get it.

....and that's why I was annoyed when I found out this shipped ups only. I'm on the east coast. Ups ground = $20 and two weeks delivery time. USPS = $10 and a guarantee 2-3 day delivery. Cheaper and faster. Plus ups ruined my last package that was delivered.

USPS doesn't guarantee any of there mail with in any time frame, it gets there when it gets there period. UPS Ground from West to East is 5 days max and is guaranteed and insured for the first $100.

Where do you get your info from? You really do like bitching about stuff don't you.

Please knock it off already, it's annoying.

USPS priority mail is guaranteed 2-3 business days. Ups ground is 5 days, you are right. For me it's two weeks because if they ship on a Tuesday, as they did, I won't get the package until Wednesday the following week because of the weekend.

I know it's the only option for them and I'm not disputing that, it's just unfortunate. And regards to my last interaction, ups INTENTIONALLY avoided putting my last $200 shipment on my porch but on my step in front of my porch, leaving it in the pouring rain for ten hours, ruining an item inside. It was not an accident, it was malicious.
