I did some looking around, and apparently some retail copies of the game shipped with bad keys.

Yep, that's where I ended up. I was just asking if anyone else got a messed up key since maybe a bad batch got sent out to certain retailers.

To everyone wanting or having problems with Skyrim from TRU i picked one up as well, I dont know about your copies, but mine was GFWL, not steam so if you're have key problems ie 25 character keys that means its GFWL :/ ..

Someone posted that Bethesda will exchange your key for a Steam one, if you contact them and provide proof of purchase. All the Skyrim copies say GFWL at the top, but the game is full on Steamworks.
