As for my Black Friday haul, I ended up with $25 Borderlands 2 and $10 Gran Turismo 5 XL at Walmart. And I got the $200 Super Slim PS3 bundle (replacement for dying fatty) and $30 Dead or Alive 5 from Gamestop. I was worried about the Walmart horror stories, but the one I went to had lines to tables with the games. It was 2 games per person and if you want more, you had to go to end of line. Different lines for separate systems. No stampeding and people were generally patient. Lines were ridiculously long though. Friend had to go through alot to get a tv. He had to get in line to get the ticket, line to pay for ticket at register, then a final line to pick-up tv from back of store outside. |

So does Target quiet down at any random times during the night? The XBLA points are tempting but I really don't want to brave the rush; I am sure if I wait to go later they'll be gone, but it's not worth my time if I have to stand in a 3 hour line to buy a few point cards...
I was thinking if they've been open for hours already maybe everyone who wanted to go has been? |

When is the best time to go to Walmart between 7 AM and 1 PM? The earlier the better?
I'm looking to pick up Need for Speed Most Wanted, XCOM, and possibly GT5 XL, Red Dead, and God of War Saga. |

I had quite the adventure on BF, but I think BF is fun so I enjoyed it. My brother and I started by going to Walmart at 10:00 and it was really crowded. We looked at the games but didn't find anything we wanted so we came home. Then I got on here and saw that the $10 1600 MSP deal still worked, so we went back out to do that after grabbing the ad from the paper. Rather than going back to Walmart though, we went to a Target near a mall my friends were meeting me at. They didn't have any left (though they might have had some by the registers but we didn't look too hard).
Then, I parted with my brother to go to a different Walmart that was closer to the mall we were at while he went with my friends. They had plenty of point cards but the checkout person said they could only override 1 of them. Saddened, I went back to the mall and found my brother and friends and looked around a bit. We didn't get anything so we decided to head back to the original Walmart from the very beginning. They had plenty of point cards too. So we asked the electronics department people and they said the override would lock down their computers or something. That seemed kind of stupid, so we decided to PM up front to see if would get any difference. Finally they let us do it. For some stupid reason it took her nearly 15 minutes to do 4 points cards because she screwed up somehow. And after all that... I think I'm going to go back later today to get 3 more since it's such an amazing deal. |
