Old Navy - Nov 24th: NSMB Wii U w/ $40 purchase

For their Black Friday festivities (on Saturday in Canada), Old Navy is giving away New Super Mario Bros. U with a purchase of $40 or more on Saturday November 24th. Stores will open at 7 am and they'll give out wristbands for people that lined up. Says it's one game per person, family or household for people 16 or older, but I don't think they really care.

Basically get NSMBU for $40 at Old Navy, plus you get some free clothes. Supplies are limited...

Nice deal. In the past, these things have sold out within the first hour, so don't be slackers, go line up!

Whoa, nice. I didn't expect Old Navy to do that in Canada. I'll be in line.

I remember when they did this with Lego Rock Band. People lined up at like 2 or 3AM to get the game. lol

Awesome deal, too bad there is no Old Navy location near where I live.

...also too bad I don't have a Wii U!

Amazing deal, too bad you will have to line up 5-10 hours in advance for any hopes at getting the game.

if these lineups are true it's not worth it. Time is money and that's less than my wage.

The good thing is that they'll just give the bracelets out early and then you can leave. The bad news is that you'll probably have to wait around for hours anyway. lol

Do you work at 7 am on a Saturday? Get paid more than $60 an hour?

Read the fine print, this is US only.

Since Old Navy's Canadian website for this sale lists the game, I would assume that this deal would be in Canada, too. I remember Dance Central and Lego Rock Band were given out in both countries.

If you have to line up 5-10 hours in advance and the game is worth $60, that's $6-12 per hour in savings via waiting. I think he means he would rather work 1-2 hours and buy the game.

FREE NEW SUPER MARIO
BROS.™ U GAME
Come in early on Saturday at 7am, and the first shoppers on the scene get a free New Super Mario Bros.™ U for the all-new Wii U™ system with a $40 purchase.
Prior to Old Navy store opening on Saturday, November 24, in Canada, customers will form a line outside the store and a store associate(s) will pass out one wristband per person aged 16 or older, starting with the front of the line while supplies last. There are an extremely limited amount of available wristbands per store which will be distributed on a first come first served basis and Old Navy can not guarantee that all customers in line will receive a wristband. Subject to availability, wristbands are good for one New Super Mario Bros. U video game with a qualifying purchase of $40 or more, and must be surrendered after purchase. GiftCards, packaging, taxes and prior purchases do not qualify toward the minimum purchase requirement. May not be returned or exchanged. Limit one New Super Mario Bros. U video game per person, family or household. Store hours may vary by location. Check your local store for details. No rainchecks. Nintendo properties are trademarks of Nintendo. © 2012 Nintendo.

I've been to a few of these Old Navy giveaways and they do have long lines. We usually line up an hour before they open (like at 6 am) and we get our wristbands.

I suspect he may be trying to dissuade others from lining up on Saturday.

If it's the american site, then why does nearly every other deal on the exact same page mention Canada?
