I bought Far Cry and 3 copies of Halo 4 at one Best Buy and got two $40 gift cards. Didn't realize until I was by a different Best Buy that I forgot to use my reward zone certificate and try to use my B2G1 coupon. So I went into that Best Buy to get more Halo 4's. They could do the price match, but couldn't do the gift card with it, all depends on the store I guess.

I'm passing by the one that let me price match and get the gift cards tomorrow so I'll probably stop by.

I bought a 3ds xl from best buy last month on 11/14 when they had the $20 off sale, but since then they have had much better deals on bundles like the one listed in the OP. Does anyone know the return policy for returns on systems? The one i bought is still in perfect shape, any chance I could return it and re-buy the mario kart bundle for $159? Any help would be appreciated

If I make my purchases instore for the BB $40 gift card, Do I get the card right away and can it be used right away as well?? Was interesting in taking advantage of this and the 3ds games as well.

Likely not on the same order but I don't see why you couldn't just walk back, grab the games and check out. Unless there is some kinda time release on it or something.

Sweet Jeebuz!

I went in (not a PM type vet) but I was able to get Hitman (pm Amazon @39.99), Far Cry 3 (pm Fry's @49.99) and STILL got the $40 GC that I used to combo that and get Black Ops 2 ($40 ) for free, practically.

+ Got the Uncharted PS3bundle @$270 - woot for the PS+ add on.

And I signed up for the Gamer thing at BB prior. Dem points?
They were great about the whole thing.

Time to absorb my last day off this week in games.

I'm guessing you guys don't ask them to PM+add GC before doing it? What do they say when it pops up?

Who are you matching for NFS?

It was met by large confusion from what looked to be a new hire.

Has anybody tried those Afterglow Universal Headsets that's in the Game Stop ad? I'm thinking about getting the wireless one, but I'm not sure how good they are. So far I've read that it's uncomfortable for some people and the headset isn't adjustable.

Bought Black Ops 2 on launch from Target because I had certificates to spend.

Tried to PM today and got turned down because their PM policy is only 2 weeks apparently. Oh well. Never knew that.

Upon quick search on Target corporate site, they will PM from November 1 to December 24 with qualifying competitor's ad.

Just out of principle I will go back tomorrow for a Black Ops 2 PM. The employee must have had no clue today. Amazing because you would think they would know especially during the shopping season. But logic is never a given nowadays.

"Lucky you!" should be their response every time. Price match and if the system wants to give the customer something else, great. Yay for the customer.

I know it doesn't always work this way.

How do you reject if you don't get the GC? I feel like I'm being a jerk by making the person ring it all up, PM it, then cancel the whole thing because I want that GC.

What I would do: Politely let the other person know that the only reason you are buying it from Target is their better deal (price + GC) and because they have always provided you excellent customer service plus you'd much rather purchase it from them.

If they don't budge, nicely ask if there is someone who they could check with to make sure which is usually a supervisor. In some cases employees may just be afraid of getting in trouble or whatever other reason they aren't just being as helpful as possible. In that case, it's up to the person making more money (manager/supervisor/department lead) to get it right.

That all said, if they still won't give you the combo you want, there really is no recourse but to try another Target store or thank them for their time and say that you will get BB reward points (which net you BB GCs!) from buying it there and since Target can't get you the better deal you really have to go back to BB since it gets you more in the end. Again, thank them for their time.

Thanks for the long explanation, lol. I really meant to PM at BB, but same strategies work!

I've asked a couple friends that work at Target and according to them, they're policy says they're not allowed to price match gift card sales. Pretty sure I read that in the policy as well.

For price matching sales at Target, I've done it a couple times for their extended Holiday thing. One lady had to call over the supervisor who had to fudge a couple things because they both said a price match usually has to be done the day of the purchase. The other Target I tried it at did it with no problems at all. I guess it just depends on how competent they are at your store.

Which makes sense. In this case, for the BB PM it's not a GC PM, just a price match plus the Target promo/offer/sale.
