Arg...thanks for posting this, but is it sad I don't want to bite because Life isn't narrated by David Attenborough?

Absolutely not. No Attenborough has always been a dealbreaker.

I can only imagine how Oprah would narrate it, because I certainly wouldn't want to waste my money really finding out.

This Amazon review seems to sum it up perfectly (scroll up after the link to read the review before reading the comments).

Yeah, Oprah/No Attenborough for Life is a deal breaker. Otherwise, this is an excellent price for both

Been wanting Frozen Planet for a while. Wish Amazon would match it though...

If only it wasn't the Oprah version of Life.

I was actually considering buying this until I read the reviews. I'll wait for the Attenborough to drop in price instead

anyone know if this is just the 2 loose sets in a bigger box? If so, it's a great deal just for Frozen Planet even if you throw away the Oprah discs.

My friend has the Oprah version of Life. If you can picture Oprah narrating a nature documentary, it sounds exactly like that. Passable if there was no Attenborough version, but clearly inferior since there is one (and I do remember hearing some questionable narration in Oprah's version). Still, not a bad price for Frozen Planet alone.
