GMG is already accepting preorders for The Cave (Steam key). It's 14.99, and with GMG20-PJFEW-Y16HK you can get it for 12.00.

meh.
The only one there I am at all interested in is Gemini Rue - I've missed the previous bundles it's been in. Gonna have to pass on this one again.

Same. I don't want to pay $4.50 for Gemini Rue, though. Haha. Maybe I (and you, if you're so inclined) will be able to find someone trying to offload that particular key for a buck or so.

Anyone know if "Lord of the Rings: War in the North" at Gamestop is the cheapest right now? Is it worth getting?

I was half expecting the midweek madness to be the same stuff as daily/flash deals from the Holiday sale :P

Hmmm Postal 2 Complete intrigues me...Any opinions?

edit: Hmmm Never seen Solar 2 either and that seems like an interesting concept as well.

Postal 2 is a real ed up game, both in atmosphere and gameplay. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy it, but I feel like it should be at 75% off.

Edit: To be less vague: the load times suck, and it's a game obsessed with being as offensive as possible with crude humor and situations. It's something you'll probably play once, and go "Wow". It won't be a staple.

Gemini Rue was already in a bundle twice. BiaB was 99 cents even I think. Where were you guys?

Funny thing is, I actually bought it right as soon as it hit Steam....then a couple of hours later it went live in Indie Royale.

Yeah I know but notepad always leaves out the carriage returns and then I have to sit there with CAG open and manually add them all which is a pain but the alternative from Word, as I found, is much worse!

I am a fan of options. I might never play Nancy Drew, but I'd like to have the option to someday. I never planned to buy an RTS until I bought one last week, and I've been gaming for 24 years. That said, the solution to the genre thing is for Steam to pick the top ten from each base genre, not for users to be tossing out pity votes for a game they don't want and won't play.

The Nancy Drew games actually are quite decent for that genre if one can get the hell over the name (just say it's for 'the girlfriend'). They're a lot better than your average Big Fish casual game and have much better production values. I still realize they aren't everyone's thing though and that's okay.

Solar could be interesting.

BTW, on a totally unrelated note and not to be nosy (okay, to be nosy! ) but how the heck do you own The Journey Down on Steam when it's not available for sale yet? I thought maybe Indie Royale and/or Desura was giving out Steam keys but I checked and didn't see any there yet.

I only have Gemini Rue from the pack, and I'm not sure the rest of the pack is worth it even selling for a buck. $1.50, maybe.

How is Nuclear Dawn? Is it active? How about Defense Grid?

I keep waiting for Steam to update their Nancy Drew package to include the newer games, but eventually I'm going to have to bite on that pack, since I do enjoy those types of games.

On Greenlight, I typically just vote yes for anything that looks good. For a buck or two, I'll give just about any game a try, it'll more than likely captivate me for at least a half hour.

It was in the IR Summer Bundle that I bought for Gundemonium Collection (shump) -- one of the two/three IRs I bought.

Edit: NVM, I own it from there, but no steam key.

The dev gave away beta keys on twitter. There was a Win 8 crashing issue the last time I checked so I haven't been able to try it out. It's been a week though. Maybe this evening I'll give it a go. If it's releasing tomorrow I expect they've fixed it.

Ah okay thanks. I thought I read that the IR buyers should get Steam keys but I'm assuming that won't happen until final release. I can wait. I was just nosy curious.

Hmm IGN makes Solar 2 sound like mash up of Katamari Damacy and Universe Sandbox.

For anyone wondering about Spec Ops:The Line, Put about 2 hours or so into it and so far the story is good; the rest of the game however....is kind of linear and boring to be honest. I'm thinking about just putting the difficulty on easy so I can run through this game and get to the "Amazing story" everyone talks about.

The biggest letdown is that every room is basically,"Hey there's a bunch of guys!" so you hide behind a wall and shoot a bunch of guys only to enter the next segment which surprise has a bunch of guys you need to hide behind a wall again and shoot.

It does have a story worth wanting to continue to play but it also feels like reading a good book and every couple of pages you have to stop and solve a Sudoku puzzle before you can continue.

But! if your a fan of hiding behind walls; well Spec Ops:Hiding Behind The Line is the game for you.

Go for it. I don't think you'll miss a thing playing on an easier difficulty. On normal, I hit a couple walls I bashed against for bit (I'm not a regular FPS/TPS player).

That's not fair at all. Sometimes you have zip lines to ride down instead!

Maybe! That sounds like something I'd have to put effort into though! Or maybe it'll show up in another bundle I am more interested in in the future..

I think I was still doing most of my gaming on XBox360 at that point. I only re-started PC gaming this summer after a few year hiatus (MMO burnout).
