Me too but if you were going to get the points soon anyway this makes sense. $12 for a year of Live.

If you were not going to get the points then yea not a great deal.

Of course, I guess it won't be canceled since they sent the codes.

It does make me wonder if someone could take advantage of the system by canceling their order after the points codes are sent. The points aren't listed on the website listing and don't seem to have a value on the receipt, so it almost seems like they would not charge you for them if the codes were already sent. I don't advocate this from a moral and ethical standpoint, but it seems like people would attempt it.
It's been said that they will deduct the price of the points from your refund but I don't know if this is true.

Very good deal. I just don't need MSP or XBL Gold time at the moment.

I don't either but I know that eventually I would need to purchase more MSP so I figured to stock up now and extend my Live membership on the cheap.

That's correct. Best Buy may be in bad shape but they're not quite to the point of letting people them over quite THAT easily.

I was planning on buying a 4000 point card with the $50 gift card I received for Christmas. I ordered 5 cards and paid $65 for 15 months of Live and 4000 pts! Incredible deal.

Question - do the points not get emailed to you until you pick up the cards if you chose store pickup?

My orders have been ready for about 45 minutes now, but no codes have been emailed to me.

The Points are dead or no? I'm not seeing them on the deal page.

It's essentially $30 for a year of live (how much I always pay) plus $21.96 for 2400 MSP. Although it is a solid deal if you look at it from a $35/year standpoint since $30 annual subs are really rare anymore. $16.96 for 2400 is pretty darn great.
I feel the same way. My Gold is finally going to be up in a few months and it was either scrounge around here at CAG trying to deal for another $30 subscription or just do this with less hassle. I'm trying 3-4 online orders now.

For those wondering, just place multiple orders to get multiple cards.

According to Best Buy customer service, the code emails will trigger after the card(s) are picked up at the store.

I'm still seeing them added. Take a look in your cart once you add the subscription.

You have to actually add the 3-month XBL card to your cart - the 800 MSP bonus then shows up in your cart automatically.
