As someone who has not played AC3 yet I am a little surprised by this news. I thought for sure AC3 would follow the AC2 playbook with a few expansions over the next year or two. Without spoiling the end does it make sense that the end of AC3 is a fine jumping off point into a whole new AC4? I will be interested in seeing where they go. Feudal Japan could be cool.

As someone who has seen the ending: yes.

I'm not surprised AC3 didn't follow with sequels like AC2 because I don't think Conner was nearly as interesting and cool as Ezio. Also the storyline for Ezio had more potential for expansion. I really hope they don't do Feudal Japan; it would be so cliche. Also the way the characters and time periods have moved forward it time. Going back would be weird. I think 19th century Paris or London would be good.

That's a relief. Not done with AC III yet but I was hopeful they'd dump the setting and move on elsewhere. Hopefully they don't let me down again.

At this rate they might as well pump out 2 or 3 AC games a year.

Great, I'll wait for it to be $15 like I am for AC3.

It'll take place in the future and involve time traveling. You know it will.

I'm glad this arc is done though. I haven't even played ACII.

Thank god/ubisoft for not bringing back connor. I've never wanted the templars to succeed so badly.

As many eras as they wanna milk out. They can just pull anybody from the streets and say your ancestor was a cool assassin who hid something from us now get on this machine and find it as many times as they want.

I'm only a few hours into AC3, but I'm not really enjoying it as much as AC2 and the the extensions of it.

I thought the setting would be cool, but Connor is not very likable from what I've played so far.

I agree. I don't know if my expectations were too high, but I'm about 3/4 through ACIII and I've just about given up on the series. The original, 2, and Brotherhood were incredible, but I had to convince myself to finish Revelations. ACIII is better, but still very disappointing. Same with Liberation.

I'm quite curious about how the multiplayer is going to be like.
