In the end, even if I have to cut out the UPC, it will be hidden between my backlog of games I bought a year ago and never played (not to mention the games I started and stopped early on four years ago).

Only 3.80 for a game is not bad considering I would have paid more just to have it on digital.

I'd much rather have the game for free than the UPC code. I mean, , if you're a collector you're still getting the cover art and manual (plus mint, brand new discs).

Don't get me wrong, I also like a tidy collection. Hell, I would never buy used games online without actually knowing I will receive both the case/manual.

However, for $3.xx I can't see how missing a trivial portion of the case would affect it. Like nadohawk mentions, I'm paying less than I would for the digital version. If later I find the game again for cheaper or free during a B2G1 sale then I can replace this copy, which I probably won't though.

1. Nothing is perfect. Once you crack the seal, perfection goes out the window. Once you pop a disc into a system perfection goes out the window. Wear and tear is inevitable.

2. It's free. If worst comes to worst sell that copy, get money and buy another one.

3. There is medication for that. I'm not being a wise ass, I'm serious.

I found this in the fine print of the rebate form... Not really sure about the photocopy thing that is why I placed a ? in my original reply.

I like being OCD. But yea I could sell the copy, but it's more trouble than it's worth. Rather just cancel and wipe myself of worrying about mailing a rebate and all that crap.

Decided to get a copy. $35 on a prepaid card eventually, not a bad deal. I'll just play it once or twice while my rebate is being processed and when my rebate card arrives I'll trade the game in or sell it without the UPC and even if I get a dollar I already made money on it.

People on this site are WAY too paranoid about things like this. Even if it is considered mail fraud--by some BS technicality--you will be fine sending in the copy.

Not commenting on the specific situation you are referring to, but that is a little bit too hard of a line to draw. I've taken quite a few psych classes--hell, it was my major for two years--and I can say with certainty that there's only so much of that to be 'learned'. Any schmuck can go look up what OCD is and make a fairly accurate diagnosis of them self as long as they are honest and self aware. OCD is a pretty easy one. It has many forms, but the behavior is goofy enough that it should stand out well enough, anyway. You're right, though. One should all go spend an afternoon with a shrink before calling them self OCD, or a narcissist, or etc. :/ lol

I just ordered one 10 minutes ago and they were both in stock. Invoice at 4:01 AM.

And for everyone else - I haven't been on here much lately because I just don't have the time to play, but there used to be a bit more willingness to accept truly cheap deals like this, even if they required a rebate.

If you can't part with $35 dollars for 10 weeks, pay the $3 fee to get it in 2 weeks. My cost after paying the fine was $1.33 for the game. It's hard to turn that down, even though I probably won't play this one either.

Sure you and I could look up DSM for a diagnosis, but it should be clear that most people using those terms are throwing them around casually.

As for your psych classes, I can tell you even after taking graduate level human behavior classes there are a lot I still I am learning.

No doubt there; Psychology is fascinating and deep as can be. A simple thing like OCD, however, really isn't. It is also true, though, that it is thrown around far too loosely.

That's why diehard collectors buy two copies of a game, so that they can have one to play and one to keep sealed in "pristine" condition. Some are even worried about ANY imperfections in the sealed item, including tiny little tears in the wrapping. They may even want to send it in to VGA (Video Game Authority) to have it rated and displayed in encased plastic (the gold levels are worth a lot on Ebay). Personally, just because they are collectors with very high standards, I wouldn't judge them negatively. Some people may also enjoy the collecting aspect more than the average gamer who just plays a game, forgets about it/trades it in for another. But, like you said, in this particular case, he could always get another since this copy is essentially "free".

How about "OCD tendencies" then, since people exhibiting OCD tendencies don't have to have OCD. I think all diehard collectors display OCD tendencies since they want their collections to be perfect.

Lol I find it really funny that you get yourself troubled for people saying they have OCD. Once you have more experience you will learn to not care so much about what people say they have.

I guess what you want is called OCPD. If it affects normal life experiences negatively then it could be OCD.
