Sorry but $199 without a memory card still isn't good enough for me.

I want them to: Redesign the Vita to have a slider layout like PSP Go, make the screen smaller and improve battery life, cut price to $150 with at least 2GB built in storage.

Why stop there?
How about a 10 inch 3d screen, 3rd analog stick, motion control, 500gb hdd, and the ability to play ps4 games, all for $99

So the fact that it costs them more than $200 to make the product means that you should get it for less than it costs them to build it. Japan has a bundle with a 32 gig card for (what it is expected to cost if it comes here; $250).

Most likely not. Given past history, Wed will be solely about PS4 and the Vita will get shafted again (like at E3).

I understand that, but they're cell phone games...I'd rather have some actual games.

It's already got that feature.

That being said, I can see how it might be a tough sell to price the Vita at $200 and not have memory, especially considering mini-tablets like the Nexus 7 cost that much and have 16 GB of memory. I personally bought the PS Vita around launch and am still pretty happy with it. I bought a 3G model of it, but news of a 4G model won't affect me. I didn't buy it for the 3G per se. I bought it because the Wi-Fi model didn't come with any memory, and as such, the 8 GB card that the 3G model came with subsidized the purchase price over buying a Wi-Fi model and an 8 GB card. So really, I only payed $15 for the GPS and 3G features and if I don't use them NBD, If I do, yipee.

No x10. The PSP go was a disaster and sliding electronics are complete and total shit. The flex cable on the inside always gets torn up. Plus how would they fit the joysticks into a sliding fashion?

The Vita is nice and all but it needs to just become a bit slimmer and less elongated. That's it. What I don't understand is how the battery is so bad when modern phone batteries can last for days on end (Galaxy Note 2). If the Vita gets slimmer, a bigger batter, and an L3/R3 it would become the most perfect mobile console.

I'd like a smaller Vita, regardless. The current design is too big for on-the-go games.

Worst suggestions I've ever seen, and this is coming from someone who already owns multiple PSPs, PSP Gos, and Vitas. None of your ideas make any sense at all. Smaller screen? Sliding controls? Just get a PSP Go and forget about the Vita, it wasn't for you to begin with. You can get used Go systems for $50, have at it!

Can someone tell me how this is a deal. Welcome to the new CAG where speculation is news. This belongs in the Vita section. Once a price drop is confirmed for the USA then post this in the deals section. Fanboy thread.

sony should start porting PS2 games onto vita, just like the psone classics. i care more for the playing older games (that i may have already paid for on disc) than these new "next-gen" titles.

but my backlog is already full with that square ff sale, so i'm good.

Well, technically price drop is still MSRP, MSRP is not deal ;P

Speculative fanboi thread x2

Could be a great deal if it drops this week as FYE has a $100 Mail in Rebate on the Vita right now.

If PSO2 gets released in the US I might be tempted to buy a Vita again. By the time that happens used Vitas will probably run around $100 or less.
