Got Mafia II - thanks for the heads up!

A small note: you don't actually get a $10 rebate check, you get a $10 Newegg Prepaid Visa Card (which is fine with me).

is the visa card good anywhere or just on newegg?

I would like to know this too. I already own both games, so I wont be buying. But I'm sure this wont be the last time they offer a Newegg Prepaid Visa Card for a rebate.

It's good anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.

Got both of them. I've been trying to get all the games from the Bethesda bundle and Brink for free (well cost of a stamp) is pretty damn nice. Also, plus that I can essentially convert my Newegg GC's to Visa cards.

Thanks for sharing, I got Mafia II, I doubt I'd ever get around to playing Brink, so I left an extra copy for someone else.

How much can I trust the whole rebate thing? I'm guessing it's probably going to be a huge hassle that has a 50/50 chance of me ending up with the $10 back in my pocket.

I already have Mafia II on Steam, but I might do this just because I want to start collecting game boxes again. And Brink... well... why not if it's free lol.

In for Mafia II.

One of the better GTA styled games I've played. Free? No questions asked.

Rebates at Newegg have always gone through just fine for me. They do however take a while to show up.

If i hadn't had so many issues with newegg i would consider it. I want to see more thoughts and opinions on these newegg visa cards.

is it only good for newegg? or anywhere?

Glad that I could help everyone get an awesome deal for once after all the awesome deals that everyone has helped me get in the past I finally feel like I have contributed something to CAG. Also I updated the OP to add direct links to the rebates thanks to Motoki and confirmed steam activation.

I did the same thing . It just so happened that I had exactly a $20 newegg gift card to use and it was perfect timing cause the gift card I had was about to expire next month. I am glad to convert mine to a prepaid visa .

It comes in the form of a prepaid visa and I have never had a problem with newegg and rebates if that helps anyone make a purchasing decision.

I hate to share this advice, mostly as I depend on people not heeding it, but if you follow directions and keep records, a rebate is damn near close to automatic. Really.
