Seriously? Getting $9 off and free shipping isn't as good as paying $50+tax/shipping so I can sell a DLC code for $10?

sure some fools will pay 20 or 30 for the dlc saying easy 10 but probally could get 20 or 30 for them.. i know they were with the MK vita game.... I got it preorder here and amazon...dont know what one im keeping yet

Hmmm... I dunno about this one... Think I might preorder at the LameStop just so I can pay it off and not have so many upcoming charges. (DKCR 3DS and Animal Crossing come to mind)

This happened to me twice (actually 3 times). The second time was with Ragnarok Odyssey ME. I sent it back with an RMU number and the CSR put a note in there to ship in a box... apparently whoever shipped it to me did not get a note of any sort and sent it to me in another bubble mailer.

Some people have reported success with Newegg packaging, but I have not with any sort of LE or CE's. I'm going to keep my pre-order at gamestop knowing I can personally go and pick it up.

I ordered one, but I am still leaving my amazon order to decide if I want the dlc and like you said NewEgg often damages these so i may cancel it just to avoid that issue alone.

My copy of Soul Hackers arrived dinged up from Newegg last month.

I've got the E-mail in the morning. Jumped right on it. Free shipping, no tax, and save $8?! I am still sticking with my Amazon pre-order though. I wanna make sure that I am getting the Limited Edition from NewEgg before I do anything.

Wow - 3DS games for $50 - seems insanely high!

This is a nice deal, but I have to have this game the day it comes out. I'm sticking with Amazon because of the release date delivery. I'm getting my copy at no out-of-pocket cost thanks to Amazon giftcards as well, so I can skip this Newegg deal for sure.

This is why I won't order from them. Newegg has shipped every single CE I've ordered from them in the last 1-2 years in bubble mailers and needless to say, they've all arrived with a range of damage. Every time I complain, they give me a generic "sorry" message and offers to exchange if I pay for return shipping. Code of Princess was the last game I received from them and I haven't ordered anything from Newegg since (and cancelled all pre-orders). With Amazon it's 50-50 (box vs bubble mailer) but at least they offer free replacement. Gamestop has been the best for me. Everything ships in a box with bubble wrap.

Yup this guy nailed it perfectly with Newegg and Amazon shipping collector's edition on all my experiences. Amazon is definitely hit or miss depending on what warehouse they ship it from I'm guessing. Based on the mock up of the Collector's Edition that is shown I would say it has more heft and weight then the console version of a game that has the steel case and lets say a action figure or some concept art inside ie COD or Mass Effect 3. Hopefully it makes the shipping trip not too dinged up in the end
