Omg, I grew up with these games. As a kid, I'd be playing Sierra's classics while people were playing their SNES and Genesis. These games rock plain and simple. W/o...well...I can't imagine a world w/o them. GO DL...CHECK THEM OUT NOW!

KQ 9! dl: www.kq9.org It's the newest installment of the series for those who didn't like 8. It's a return to the series's roots by fans. Looks really good in the new GI. Check it out!

KQ 1 remade: www.agdinteractive.com They're taking the super old game and totally redoing it. Looks really sweet too. For anyone who's ever drooled over a Sierra/Lucas Arts interactive game, this is for you. In the same vein as greats such as Grim Fandango and Loom and such. (Loom <3 <3 <3 forever!) Oh btw, if anyone has Loom, I WILL GIVE YOU MY IMMORTAL SOUL FOR IT. BESTEST ADVENTURE GAME EVAR. GO DL/CHECK THESE THNGS OUT NOW, AND LEAVE FEEDBACK/CRITICISMS PLEASE!

Yup. I love each and every one of them... My personal favorite is 5, though.

Too bad I can't run most of them now on a newer PC.

Quest for Glory is also extremely good. I don't even bother buying them now, they're too damn expensive. You can download pretty much any old adventure games for free (illegally) on "Abandonware" sites.

Yeah, I know...but still, I'd rather have the legit copies. Being the young fool I was, I actually trashed them for fun... heh --' My fav was 6, I loved the Genie and rescuing Cassima. I liked 7, but not as much as 5 or 6. Have you ever tried Leisure Suit Larry?! OMFG MY DUMB@$$ COUSINS introducted me to that series...and...although it is really quite amusing, it is geared to an older audience...I was only 10 when I first played. Corrupted and left indelible scars, it did.

Yeah.. Leisure Suit Larry is a funny series, but it can't even compare to Kings Quest, Quest for Glory, Gabriel Knight, and other Sierra adventures in terms of gameplay or story.

I still own the Kings Quest Collection (1-7, + other games), which I remember picking up for $20 when it was released. Now I could sell it on Ebay for almost $100. Ha!

I think I'm gonna have to download all the Sierra adventures I'm missing tonight. Even though I've played through them about 30 times each, I can still lose myself in them for hours.

KQ is one of the first computer games I ever played. It introduced me to adventure games and I'm still a big fan. I'm going to check out the remake now. Thanks for the link.

As did I...I think I may sell it too if it gets that much cash.

Anyways, glad to hear that KQ is making a comeback. I hope its better than the last offering...

Wow, I got the KQ collection way back, before it included KQ7. I had no idea it was so rare and valuable now.

KQ5 was the best, but I enjoyed the first 2 as well. Remember Space Quest? That was a fun series. My favorite was SQ4: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers. Favorite part? The mall. You had to go in the different shops, get a job at the burger joint, and even skate on that zero-gravity rink. Anyone for Astro Chicken?

Actually, the newer ones that include KQ7 seem to go for alot more than the older ones before KQ7. If it isn't in good condition, complete with box, manual, etc then forget about selling it for a decent price.

I've finished several of the Kings Quest, Space Quest, and Police Quest, and Leisure Suit Larry series games.

I was/am a big fan of the old adventure games, including the old text adventure games, especially the Infocom and Scott Adams Adventures.
I used to try and program my own text adventures on my TI-99/4A.

Tape recorders rule!

EDIT: Great sites you guys posted...I had no idea they existed.
