I need a sound card that is able to connect into my stereo reciever so i can use Sony Soround system for halflife 2.

i'm assuming you mean you need RCA connectors on a sound card to hook up to a stero reciver.
You can buy 3.5mm jack (or whatever size the computer sound card is) to RCA white and red cables. (make sure you buy the ones that support stero, some will turn the signal into a mono track and send the same sound through each speaker) if you already have surround sound on your sound card you can just use these hooked into some rca cables to connect both ends

look for an old audigy or a phillips acoustic or seismic edge(I think). I'm assuming he wants spdif out.
