Okay it did get ~83% on gamerankings.com but for some reason I didn't anticipate enjoying this one as much as I am.

The way the powers were implemented is just really cool and I've found myself thinking 'Damn that was neat.', a lot during this game.

TK (telekinesis sp?) is the first power you learn (about 20 minutes in) and probably my favorite. So many ways you can use this to defeat enemies or get around environmental hazards. I won't go into much detail to avoid spoiling the fun of discovering TK strategies on your own. And the other powers have similarly various uses. Very cool.

And to think this one was probably the bottom of the list of games I picked up at the Gamefly sale a month ago.

I'm always thinking of picking this up because someone I work with absolutely loved it. The problem is the backlog of games... I've got MGS3, Jak II, R&C2, GTA:SA, PoP:WW, Maximo and the Mark of Kri all sealed waiting to be played.

I got it for $8 at K-Mart. I'll probably try it out after I beat RE4.

************POST MAY BE CONSIDERED TO CONTAIN A MILD SPOILER***********

You've been warned.

Finished it last night. The last few checkpoints are pretty tough, but not unmanageable.

And it does end with 'TO BE CONTINUED'

I do hope they make a follow up. Out of the games I've played recently it's probably my favorite. Definitely enjoyed it more than Hitman Contracts and I'd say I liked it a bit better than Red Dead Revolver and Everything or Nothing (both those are great games as well).

My total play time was listed as 4 hours but I really feel like I took longer than that with the game. I did have to play a few levels more than once, but it doesn't seem like that would add more than an hour.

The story is fairly predictable but really well done. Nice VO, too. Although there is one cringe-worthy line near the end.

IMO this game has all the makings of a truly great game as far as gameplay mechanics. The psi powers were original and well done. And the game has really top notch production values all around. But (while very good) there is just something about it that keeps it from being a truly amazing experience. I think maybe they should have worked on creating more situations perfect for exploiting with the various psi powers. There are quite a few, but it's so much fun to find an easy/easier way through a seemingly tough bit by using the proper power than they maybe should have expanded on that.

Plus the game is a little short, but I had so much fun playing it that I really didn't mind.

This game has been on my list of games to get "some day" ever since I played a demo of it right around the time it was released. Is that $8 about what it goes for now anywhere, or was that a special sale price?

Thanks for the spoiler without a warning, wubb. I'm at the end of it.

It could probably be found used for $8 if you're crafty enough. If you're forced to pay the full retail of $19.99, it's absolutely worth every penny, this is one of my favorite games of 2004.

It was the K-Mart Bluelight clearance. That's the cheapest I've seen it.

I try to be careful with spoilers. Honestly didn't think anyone would consider the fact that it says TO BE CONTINUED a spoiler, but sorry about that. (I assume that's what set you off?)

I got it for $10 at the gamefly sale, you can get it for not too much more than that off eBay. Not sure what the best price from a real retailer would be at this point.

The telekinesis power was one of the coolest things I have ever seen in a game. I thought it was better done than Half-Life 2's gravity gun.

If you enjoyed Psi-Ops check out Second Sight. The psi powers are handled a little more clumsily, but the story is better.

Yea... I enjoyed Psi-Ops
Until
I opened up the co-op game. Controlling the same character?

Thats when i stopped playing and ended up trading it in :(

Just didn't like that at all, but yea it was a pretty good game, never did finish it because of that co-op deal :P

I liked the first half of the game more than the 2nd half of the game. Telekinessis is the best thing about the game but it was used less in towards the end.

Still, the level design and the character design is top notch. This game could of been a contender to be a classic but I can sort of tell that the money in making this game ran out. Still, its worth playing.

Another Midway game I liked was the Suffering which was released about the same time. That game was dumber (in terms of story) but it was much more enjoyable in terms of gameplay. There is just a lot more ass-kicking in that one.

Co-Op in Psi-Ops is the most retarded implementation I have ever seen in a video game

I picked this up on a whim for $5 on clearance at Target and it was worth every penny. I'm a little disappointed I didn't pick it up sooner. I really hope they actually make a sequel to it, considering the weak sales.
