if you pre-order Battlefield 2, it comes with a free headset (only problem is the game does not come out for a while)

It's a plain Logitech headset.
BTW, I'm looking for a USB headset because the speaker plug of my PC is in the back and the headphone plug is in the front =/

No deals here, but I use the Plantronics DSP500.. USB, very comfortable after a long period of use, and good quality sound, though it is pretty expensive according to Froogle.

As far as games go, I don't know of any that need voice input.. though Unreal Tournament 2004 does have voice chat built in. Most gamers use an extra program like Teamspeak for voice chat while playing.

I got Ventrilo, was wondering whether any games had multiplayer voice chat.
UT2004 has it? That's good. Was looking for some multiplayer games actually.

Eh? But it's got the microphone and headphone plug.
My mike plug is in the back of my PC, headphone in the front :?

EDIT: Just found this, any good?

do PC headsets work PS2?

Although I don't care about the $30 price of the Logitech headset, I saw my friend's new one break after only a few days, and that was his third one!
