Which game do you like more, and why? I'd like to get one of the two, but I'm undecided as to which one.

I've only played a little metal slug. I have and beat alien hominid and must say I was very impressed with it. For $30 you get a fresh new game with awesome multiplayer games and animation. I'll have to give the nodd to alien hominid.

Having played both, I can say without a doubt that Alien Hominid is the better game. It's faster, funnier, and has better boss fights.

Just bought Alien Hominid. Love every second of it, and it's a good challenge for even the most hardcore gamer.

Metal Slug 3 was cool as well, but I would never really get into it too much. I'll probably get it once it's $20 or so.

You don't have to ask. People will comment regardless.

I've played Alien Hominid on NewGrounds.. and played Metal Slug on GBA.. and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed Metal Slug a lot more.. I realize it wasn't the console version of alien hominic.. but the core gameplay is probably the same. I am dying to pick up Metal Slug 3 on XBox.. and i'll get Alien Hominid at launch on XBox..

Metal Slug 3 is the best game in the genre. It's sheer bliss in gaming form. Ah is great, but nothing can compare to the last level of MS3

I haven't played much of either single player mode but the multiplayer PDA mode in AH is fantastic. It's almost like another game in itself.

alien hominid - it's a lot more quirky and it excels at parties with its brilliant four player pda games, as well as allowing continues throughout the main game. (the difficulty is a lot higher in AH than MS3, but it is a lot more forgiving as well.)

metal slug 3 for xbox does not allow you to continue mid stage, so be prepared to be very frustrated in stage 5 when it lasts for maybe 45 minutes or so and you can't continue without restarting at the beginning of the stage.

Both games are excellent but I'd give the slight edge to MS3 for perfecting the gameplay in the series and offering excellent level design, it's just a shame that it's two sequels are barely worth playing.
