Can anybody give me a list of some good, free demo downloads? I want to give my new computer a spin, but my collection is meager.

what type of Specs do you have?

Max Payne 2 is a pretty good demo
Pandora Tomorrow is an amazing demo

If you are looking for good cheap games as well try Mafia and Max Payne, both have fairly low specs and are really fun

http://dlx.gamespot.com/

I dunno how most other people get them but I usually go through DLX on gamespot for a while. It's free so long as you join with the basic. Far Cry is usually in the daily top ten.

Yeah, I have the Unreal 2K4 Demo too. I'll try to get that Max Payne 2 demo, I've been wanting to play it. That Far Cry demo was HUGE! Like 500 something MB! Thats the whole Anarchy Online download! I'll try it, but damn. And my computer is amazing, I can run anything out right now. Just point in the right direction!

If you like crazy fast paced war simulations, try this demo:

http://games.activision.com/games/wolfenstein/

Instructions: Just click on Enemy Terroritory on the tab near the top. Click prefferably Fileplanet link, and Windows or Linux whichever you use. Then click the fastest, and closest mirror near you. Make sure you made a basic account first, and you have to wait in line for approx. 40+ minutes, and no matter wut don't refresh or close that wait in line window.

Its multiplayer only via LAN or Net.
