Check the XBOX thread...there is some discussion about the two baseball games there.

It's been mixed.....some say the graphics took a step BACKWARDS for MVP, and others have raved about MLB 2K5.

i like mvp because it is just so deep. it is fun to control everything for me. i heard mvp may be 29.99 and ESPN is 19.99, so the price might not be to much of a factor. but i havent played espn, so i cant say that mvp is better, i just have lastyears mvp and loved it.

Having played both with a friend of mine, I'd give the edge to MVP. We found it easier to get hits in MVP, but after a while 2K5's pitching to use took just a little too long and controls just weren't up to snuff compared to MVP.

Or, you could just do what Monsta Mack and I did and just buy both, since you can get both for $50 total.

I was going to buy both, but after playing 2K5 I settled for MVP instead.

I picked up MLB 2k5. BUt after hearing everyone rave about MVP, I kinda wish I had gotten that instead.

I bought MVP and I'm really liking it so far. I haven't played MLB 2K5, so I can't speak for that, but MVP is really fun.

MVP 2005, it's a great game, haven't played 2K5, but MVP 2004 was great and they fixed most of the glitches from that including the "lefty bug".

Both Game Informer and EGM gave MVP 2005 higher scores.
