DS... Going to get cheaper used?

I just cashed out on my SP because I'm planning on buying a DS. Im not sure if I should put the 87 I just made towards a used DS,which is about 30 out of my pocket in the current ebay market, or wait until the PSP comes out. On the one hand, there are no games right now meaning people want to get rid of the system so there is a large supply, with little demand. But, there will probably be more used DSs after the PSP come out . What do you guys suggest.

I doubt the PSP coming out will affect the price of a used DS system. But I highly doubt that it would ever go up.

With the MSRP of the PSP being $250 I really doubt its going to cause a DS price drop. You should just pick up a DS now. Mario and Wario Ware will keep you busy until more DS games come out.

I would wait a bit until at least the PSP comes out. I noticed that stores are starting to offer deals on new DS's, let alone used and the amount of them getting traded in seems to be accelerating rapidly. Rumors that Nintendo is going to make the DS their next E-reader equivalent (lauched with a lot of hype but with no real support and quickly cast aside) don't help.

Every store around here seems to have a used one to sell and I've seen an EB with 6 used systems at once. EB/Gamestop have just recently lowered the trade-in value of the DS to $70 (GameCrazy did so a couple of months ago) so I would guess that a price drop is imminent as well. With only 1 new release every month or so, the demand on DS's is only going to get lower.

I agree. If money is an issue just get one now and start saving for the other. $250 should be easy to come by. Even at minimum wage it's less than 2 weeks of work...

I got my DS on eBay a week after Christmas in mint condition with Mario 64 for $110 shipped. Based on this, I dont see them droping in price any more on eBay. Also you may want to get one before Nintendo makes their big announcement. Which may drive up demand for DS's.

$110 for a DS with mario shipped? Why do people continually lie about the prices of games and hardware on Ebay, no way you got the system that cheap

Thanks for all the responses.
I might get a PSP but I don't work enough to casually spend $250. Also, it seems way to fragile and the games are also very expensive. Finally, I need to be able to play the GBA games I love and didn't sell. Personally, I think the price will be affected because of the huge hype around the PSP and the "failing" (which I don't think it is) of the DS.

ABout why I got 87, sold with four games (non that are good/valuable imo.)

Rumors? You mean speculation. I have not read from any reputable source that this is being considered a 'hold over' till the next Gameboy.
