Typing of the Dead for DS? Any interest?

This post is purely hypothetical, but I was curious what the general gaming audience reception would be to a Typing of the Dead or something like that for the DS. I think that it would be perfectly suited for the system. I have been a big fan of the Dreamcast version, in fact so much so as to buy another copy of it from the relatively recent TRU sale. Anyhow, I know the title would at first reek of a niche title, but I think that it would be a great seller after it gets some steam. Just was wondering what your thoughts would be on this. To my knowledge, Sega has not stated anything of the sort or even hinted at anything brewing such as this.

using the stylus to type would be much slower than a keyboard. I probably won't be interested.

Yeah, the bottom screen is good tool for typing, but not when speed is a concern. I don't think it could really work, but it's a nice idea.

Not to mention, it would be hard to look at the top screen because the is no actual keyboard, and you'd be focused on touching the whole time.

I'm going to have to vote "No".

So, when do we get a port of marble madness?

The more games for the DS platform the better.

Maybe they can change the game to writing of the Dead? that certainly would be interesting.

or they could make "Stabbing of the Dead" and have us use the stylus as a knife...

Or maybe drawing of Dead or scribbling of the dead?

There you go, they could call it Curs(ive) of the Dead.

I think that could work. The tougher monsters could have icons you have to copy on the touchpad to cause to explode or kill them in some grisly fashion.

Typing would involve way too many symbols but something simpler with drawing and gestures could be really, really cool.

That be sweet.. just the IDEA of it.. but realistically =T sorta hard to put it into good use. I would love to play ToD on the go though =].

Somewhat off topic-- has anyone tried the version for PS2? I saw there's one for it.. any major difference?

Yuck. This would bring the necrophiliacs out of the wood work.

Obviously they'd have to license this Alice Cooper song:

I love the dead before they're cold,
Their blueing flesh for me to hold.
Cadaver eyes upon me see nothing.
I love the dead before they rise,
No farewells, no goodbyes.
I never even knew your now-rotting face.
While friends and lovers mourn your silly grave.
I have other uses for you, Darling.
I love the dead,
I love the dead,
I love the dead
I love the dead,
I love the dead,
I love the dead.
I love the dead,
I love the dead,
I love the dead.
I love the dead,
I love the dead,
I love the dead. yes I do
I love the dead,
I love the dead,
I love the dead.
