When you beat the game the first time, does the game save automatically? Do I need to make a seperate save file for the Riku mode? Help is appreciated.

After you beat it, you get two more extra save slots. The first two are for the normal game with Sora, and the next two are for Riku's game (this give you 4 total slots). So don't worry about filling up all you slots now.

It's been a couple months since I've played it, so I hope the number of save slots are right. But I know you get extra slots for Riku. Hope this helps.

hmm so that means that the game saves automatically and the Riku mode is opened up forever and I don't have to save over my game. is that right?

Well, it's not that you save you file after you beat it, you just open up Riku's story.

Sora's "quest" automatically saves and when you go back to start Riku's "quest" you have two more slots dedicated specifically for Reverse/Rebirth. There is absolutely no need to worry about your save files from the Sora quest. Just check it out....you'll see what we mean.

Oh, by the way....Reverse/Rebirth has a great story and awesome end bosses, it's worth playing through.

Personally I thought Riku's story was boring. It got repetative

It didn't have as much depth, but you buzzed through it pretty quick and it tied more directly to the overall Kingdom Hearts story which is what I liked. Especially the very last cinema....cool stuff. If you're really into th KH story, then you have to play reverse/rebirth.
