I was reading about the Nintendo revolution and how they're going in a "totally different direction" and got to thinking about the DS.

If Feel the Magic did indeed outsell one of those MAJOR FRANCHISES then i think nintendo is on to something.

I'm guessing spiderman 2 outsold them all, but it's only a guess.

FTM retailed for $29.99, while the other 3 games you mention retailed for $39.99

Feel the magic is why i bought the DS and beacuse there's nothing else good on the DS, even after importing, also the reason i'm selling it.

BTW Sega made feel the magic not nintendo. Don't give nintendo credit for what they don't deserve =p

Wario Ware trounces Feel The Magic. Anyhow, WW:T is the only DS game that I'm playing... I don't know why there are so many complaints though about the DS library...just play yor GBA games on the top screen for a better experience.

zookeeper is worth owning for the DS. it is $31 or so on overstock.com

I will second that.

I did see the sales for the games and FTM was up there in Japan but I am not sure with America... I think madden sold decently actually.

I have not been able to locate the numbers now though...

through the end of january, it's sold 52,114 copies in the US

ddf, im curious, where did you get that number? is theres a site that keeps track of game sales?

The A and B buttons on the DS aren't very good for GBA games, and because of that I would rather play my GBA games on my SP even though it has a lower quality screen.

Good question.

I also only play GBA games on my SP, but when DS goes online I'm gonna be stoked.

PSP will go online faster.. but i think i'm holding out for Next Gen Xbox.. i am so excited about that.. I'm not big on portable gaming.. but my GBA gets plenty of gameplay when i'm out at school or just out in general..

the DS did not impress me one bit.. (neither did the PSP...) for portable gaming.. cheaper is better.. and i don't need an mp3 player if i have an Ipod heh..

I don't have any offical stats to back this up, but I seem to remember alot of people calling it a sales disappointment on several nintendo forums. I always seemed to see alot of copies of it laying around the holidays, so it wouldn't surprise me if that was true.

I'd personally like to know what the lowest selling title was... I'm guessing Sprung.

im guessing ping pals, since to actully use it, you had to know someone else with it, and not use the default messenger...

I remember seeing the numbers a month or so ago and being shocked. Feel The Magic sold less then all of them. Ping pals sold more then FtM did. Only title that sold worse was Sprung

Found the place i saw the numbers. FTM sold 5,000 more units then Ping pals which is still very sad and Sprung was last with 11,431.

FTM was 3rd from the bottom of sales. It didnt do that good, even though it is my favorite DS game

I blame the cover. Every time I would try to recommend it to people buying the DS (Which was mostly parents), they wouldn't have any part of a game with a girl in a bikini on the cover, even though the game is really not that sexual.
