I've noticed when I have my volume turned down so it's barely above silent I get crackling in the speakers. Is this normal? Can anyone test out their system to confirm?

Is that when you have the volume turned down to next to nothing or are you playing it loud?

That's weird.
I'm thinking about exchanging it for a new one but I'd like to wait a while to be certain Best Buy has sold off the old batch first.

Mine as well. I think the speakers are underpowered at that level or something.

Mine too, called Nintendo on this one and they think it's the games since mine will only do it on Mario 64, not GBA or other DS games.

Ditto. I noticed it when I was playing "Its Mr Pants" the other day. Not a huge deal.....just turn it up a little til the crackling goes away. *shrug*
