I put this here because I'm thinking of getting a PSP there and wonder if their warranty is reliable? Also, does anyone know how Kmarts works? That's the other place in town with a warranty.

Also, just cause I'm wondering and already have a thread about the warranty do the disc in the little UMD shell come out if you want them to or is it all one piece? I was just wondering because I wasn't sure by the way they look.

Yeah, do not take it out of the shell by any means. I might experiment later on if I can get a free umd somehow, but you will damage the game if you remove it.

Didn't have his system yet, and one of associates picked up his Wipeout last night. I go in today, open, get my coffee, stop by his store, and he's showing me this tiny disc. I ask, "what the hell's that?", having a hunch. He says its a UMD. Silent for a second, I then reply, how d'you figure?

He turns and says, matter-of-factly, "Well, didn't you take yours out its travel shell to look at it??"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Wow. People like that shouldn't even HAVE a PSP. How the heck did he even get it out of the shell without breaking the disk? I heard they were extremely fragile without it.

Anyway it's like a minidisk, it stays inside.

I realized I never ansered the OPs question- They're warranty is OK. Each covers you for an additional six months over warrenty, I believe, but only against manufacturer defects. If you drop the system and it shows damage from that in any way, you're SOL. However, if you should drop it and it just stops playing games, you're still covered. To further, Sony has a 1 year manufacturer's gaurantee now.

Right, Jrunt-

Actually, their warranty is two years which I really like, just wondered if they were a pain in the ass about trying to return things if you have problems.
