Anyone know a site that shows you how to take a PSP apart? I know Liksang had pictures of all the parts layed out but did not show how to actually disassemble it. Because I have dust under the screen and it needs to go! Anyone?

Uhh Id return the thing, because if you open it you void the warranty, and nobody has any idea what could go wrong in the near future and the warranty might be invaluable

You'll end up putting more dust in it by opening it up, unless you have access to a commercial grade clean room. Let it go or return it.

But I returned it twice (dead pixels) and they will not let me return it anymore. Maybe I'll just sell the damn thing. Do I really need a psp?

Can the dust under a PSP screen be blown out using canned air?

yes, lets risk destroying the PSP because of the dust. Just deal with it, its not worth messing with your overpriced system.

Unfortunatly most stores force you to take credit rather than actual cash, which in sures your money stays with them no matter what.

I personally wouldn't take apart the PSP to remove some dust. As others have said, you're more likely to get more dust in the system than before. If you happen to break the PSP in the process then you're truly S.O.L.

It won't void your warrenty if you don't remove the sticker in the battery compartment. I just bought a can of compressed air and after I was finished replacing one of my shoulder buttons the cracked, I sprayed the LCD and cover and then quickly re-assembled it and it looks fine.

yeah, exactly. All you have to do is pull the sticker with a tweezer until you see the screw. From there on it's smooth sailing.
