Alright so I'm trying to decide on which new game to get. Either Viewtiful Joe 2 or Dead or Alive Ultimate. I never played the original VJ so I kinda wanted to try out the series after so much praise. on the other hand, i haven't gotten a fighting game in a while and Xbox Live play is alluring. On the OTHER hand, VJ2 is about half the price. So can I get some opinions here?

You might want to play Viewtiful Joe 1 before playing Viewtiful Joe 2.
I personally would go with Dead or Alive Ultimate. I've put alot more hours in DOA then I have with VJ and for me at least, VJ just didn't have any re-paly value.

If you like fighting games get DOA and play on live... If you just sort of like fighting games, but don't paly them all the time (Like me), I would get get VJ1 because it is an awesome game and will entertain you for a while.

VJ2. Original game. If you want a fighter, you have better choices than the DOA series...

I like fighters not bad of a deal for 20 for DOA Ult. I still got VJ 2 sealed after buying from BB for 15 after a GGC. I thought the first one was a very classic side scrolling action game!

Thanks. I will check if DOA is $20 when I go to EB this weekend. I'll make a decision from there.

You know what. I'm just gonna go ahead and get Burnout 3 since I've heard only good things about it.

Well just for closure: I saw DOA Ultimate back in stock for $20 so I snatched it up. However, chances are I'll be buying BO3 and VJ2 sometime soon as well.

So since I picked up VJ2 at Kmart for $10, and don't have VJ1, you're saying I should get and play VJ1 first?

Get DOA: U, it'll last you a lot longer than VJ2.

doa ultimate more replayablilty, and thats what counts

Bah, I'm in the middle of VJ2 right now and I must say, it is completely inferior to VJ1. Slyvia is annoying as hell, Joe gets no new powers, and many of the puzzles suffer from Resident Evil-itess in there obscure logic process.
