Xbox 360 design under our noses the whole time?

Over on the Team Xbox forums, “McNasty04” has made a startling discovery:

“After reading the description of the supposed design of the next xbox. I noticed something when I went to look at something on xbox.com. Something about the design of the site caught my eye. In the article the person talks about how it will be able to stand on its side and is concave in the middle aka “sucking in its cheeks”. Could the xbox 360 design have been in front of our faces this whole time? I am just merely brining this up because I found it interesting and thought it might interest a few of you.”

I hope it aint shaped like that, it'd be gay looking. Most people dont want a system you'd have to place on it's side due to space constraints in their enertainment center and the design you show had no flat bottom except the side.

That would be a stupid design, plus I don't think it would be able to stand vertically if it was designed like that.

I seriously doubt that is the shape. From what I'm to understand, it's a bit bigger than the Mac Mini, with the "cheeks sucked in."

As long as it fits in my entertainment center, I could care less about the design.

observant, i like all that hidden stuff, but i must say that it is an impossibility the xbox 2 looks like that, as the website design, is dated before the xbox 2 was officially announced

I hope that's not the design of the Xbox 360.

I really don't think it matters if the entire bottom is flat as long as both the front and back are level. Then the system will sit fine horizontally.

I don't see why that would matter. If they had decided on what the Xbox 360 would look like way before, then they could have easily integrated it with the design of the site.

I wouldn't mind the design. Better than the shape of the current gen X-Box. I'm sure if it's used, the contours will not be soo extreme.

What's Microsoft's obsession with those oblique designs? Most of the WMP skins are similarly designed.
