my son just game back from TRU with his grandfather. He took him to get "a" game. Much to my delight they came back with 4 games - Ratchet and Clank Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Doom3 collectors edition. Looks like theres gonna be some serious gaming in the snotknocker house this weekend. Go grandpa!

Not bad. Is that 2 PS2 games and 2 Xbox or 3 PS2 and 1 Xbox?

That's a good selection of games. I just got SC:CT and D3:CE myself, but am playing a lot more of Doom than anything else in my collection.

You should definitely introduce classic gaming to your son by playing split screen old-school Doom.

No doubt that's on the agenda. However with our collection of over 200 NES, SNES and Genny games he's well beyond the introduction stage.

I love it when relatives know to avoid liscensed garbage... I used to babysit a seven-year old, and rather than buy junky Spongebob games, she always managed to find great titles for him to play- Ratchet and Clank, GT4, Tomba and Sheep for PS1... I still think about going to visit and swiping those two. (I wanna finish Sheep!)

Grandparents are great. They are so old school they dont care about cost but rather a great product. And they are very loyal to their favorite car companies.
