I don't wanna seem like an annoying newb (although the use of the word newb is kinda annoying), but I was interested in finding Earthbound for the SNES for a cheap ass price. Thanks again!

The only place you are going to find this cheap is a garage sale or MAYBE a mom and pop store that never checks its inventory.

One thing minght help, search on ebay for Earth Bound. Two words. Sometimes copies can sneak through for fairly cheap when someone's being stupid.

Try various trading boards around the net. I traded someone a black and white NGPC (Though it had a cool color shell) that I bought for $15 for a copy of EB and the player's guide... and then I sold the player's guide for $15 to someone a few months later.

This thread makes me feel even luckier and happier that I found my copy last week for $4 at a music/game store that normally charges $15-20 for most SNES RPG's. In good condition too, and loose, but that doesn't bother me.

So you might get as lucky as I was at such a store. You never know. Also, try pawn shops. Some of them have a cheap base price around $5 or so on SNES stuff and I've heard stories of people finding games that go for a lot on eBay (Chrono Trigger, FF2, FF3) on the cheap at such places. You might also find it on the cheap at a flea market.

Good luck!

Oh yeah, that reminds me, go to thrift stores. I got FF2 and FF3 at a Goodwill for $2.xx apiece.

I was just going to suggest thrift stores. Although my local Goodwill blows ass so bad, same with Value Village(but they do pop a great item up once in a while).
A couple of local chains are the best ones for me. I have found tons of great games for cheap that go for quite a bit on ebay at both Thrifts and Pawns.
Including Chrono Trigger $4, FF2 & 3(with book & map) for $3 each(accually I have found a good half dozen of FF 2/3 and promptly sold them on ebay), Secret of Mana $6, Mario RPG $1 (bought & sold a good dozen of these), and my most prized NES game Complete in box Stack-Up $7(I took a picture and made it my avatar if anyone has'nt noticed), and many others.
It's been dry here lately though.

Sorry for the long post.

You could try Blockbuster. I know mine sells used NES, SNES, N64, GCN, etc. games. You can sometimes find hard-to-find games there. You just have to look around.

Unfortunately, it seems that these places may be becoming more knowledgeable about their games. Still, they're great places to check around especially if you live in a big city or out in the middle of ing nowhere. I, myself, got Earthbound for my birthday when I was like 11, thank god I had the foresight to get it. Sadly, I need to find another copy of the guide so it will be complete again.

You might just want to wait, Mother 1 & 2 got released on GBA in Japan a few months ago. Mother 2 aka Earthbound. Most likely at E3 Nintendo will be bring this to the states.

Amoung the various pawnshop treasures that I have found. I managed to pick up 4 Final Fantasy Tactics, 3 sealed from a local pawnshop for 10 a piece. This is before the GH release when they were 80+ on ebay.

Yea im sure that pawnshop is corrupt. It was in the ghetto too... And I know FFT is not a popular game in the ghetto
