the prices went down on these? damn i picked up 2 copies of each today from a local gamestop

Welcome to however many months ago they started be easily available again. It didn't strike you as slightly odd that your local gamestop had 2 copies of each?

The RE4 hype has died down and a couple of internet sites "found" a bunch of new copies of 2 & 3. The prices really went down after that.

I have seen both at the Gamestop here for $40 each and they have sat there for a couple of weeks.

Yeah, they've been reprinted. That's why your Gamestop had them.

Both are in stock on Gamestop.com. I checked store availability and there are 31 stores within 200 miles of me that have them in stock. One store even has 4+ in stock.

Call me when they're $19.99 new, like they should be. I wouldn't mind owning RE2 again. That game was excellent.

SHIT!, so much much for me selling off my sealed RE2, oh well time to ooen it and give it a go.

Bought RE2 and RE3 for the cube for like 26 bucks each at Circuit City early last year because 2004 was Resident Evil year for me. Since RE:A was going to be out in September 2004, I wanted to get my hands on all GC RE's so I got RE:CVX, RE2/3. RE0 and remake got in 2003

Yaeh, the prices for these games dropped like a rock. They were reprinted/re-released and then the RE4 fervor died down. You can find them from Fry's to Gamestop to EB now.

Yeah, I knew something was up a couple months ago when I snagged pristine 'used' copies of RE2, 3 and CV during the B2G1 sale at GS...

Hence why rare/valuable videogames are not a good investment.

What? There was no reprint!!! Ahhh, memories for the old $40/$30 new for RE2 deal many moons ago...

I bought Re2/3/CVX for the cube early last year because RE:A was hitting theaters later that year. Paid about 23 something each for RE2/3 and about 15 for CVX (GGC at bb).

I really wished they would have remade Re2/3/CVX with the remake standards. It could have been done, and fans would have loved it. but no the japs were too lazy for this one.
