Who has a list of EXCLUDED Non-Sport games for Trade-In at EB??

I tried to trade in 8 games today for the $49.99 PS2 HDD and Halo 2, but only 2 of them were acceptable, Ace Combat 4 and Midnight Club 1. Basically, what the guy said was when they scan it, if it says "POX" then it's excluded for trade-in. "PO" are the good games for trade-in. I guess it stands for Piece Of Xhit...lol.
Anyways, does anybody in here work for EB or has a list of what games are actually excluded for the trade-in that are not sports games? Or does it all depend on the store?

It is less hassle to do it online. They only exclude "football, baseball, basketball, hockey, wrestling and soccer titles", but they don't allow you to trade multiples of any title anymore (once one has traded in Haven, for example, online, one cannot use Haven towards any of their other online promotions).

Wait a sec... I've used Haven on the NG trade-in already. So you're saying I can't use it again, if I send it in for the FF11 trade-in?

are u sure about that? I think it's say if you trade in haven towards the ninja gaiden thing, you can't trade it in towards ninja gaiden again. But you can towards FFX1

The Pox exclusions are not supposed to apply to the trade in 4 offers, but some stores are just trying to play it safe and screwing people over. I worked at an EB just a month ago and my store wouldn't take POX titles, so I called around to the stores close to me using the online store locator and just asked if they took POX non sports titles in the trade in 4 promo. I found one and 24 games traded later I have 6 games to wait for. Just be cool to people and they usually will let you trade in multiple copies of the same title on the different promotions. I just kind of mixed and matched the same 5 titles under the different promos. Good luck and sorry your EB is kind of wussy.

Next time you go to EB, take a look at some of the pre-owned games. They'll either have a "PO" next to the price, or a "POX" next t it. I'm assuming the POX'd ones aren't acceptable for trade-in deals, so you can check which ones you CAN trade in first.

I wonder if they'll accept my copy of eternal ring, otherwise I'll just use my mgs2 and go buy another copy at gamestop.

Could one buy 4 of the cheapest non-sports games with 'PO' on the tag and trade them in?

The five(not six) that were NOT acceptable were GTA3, EverGrace, Silpheed, GT3, and Turok Evolution. I have 2 copies of Ace Combat 4...I was going to use 1 for the Halo 2 and 1 for the HDD.

Some stores are actually really cool about people buying 4 cheap games and trading them in under the promo. All they ask is that the customer wait at least one day before trading them in so it doesn't look so bad.

Also, when my wife traded-in for Sonic Heroes, they were really crappy games like Fantavision, Silpheed, Stretch Panic, and Gun Griffon Blaze. Two of those I got for $5.99 preowned from ebgames.com plus 25% off and the other two were $5 CC games.

So what happens if they don't accept a game?? Do they actually send it back and charge you $2.00? Has anyone actually been sent a game back and charged?

Yeah, this definetly depends on your ebgames, I traded in a bunch of shit this weekend, a total of 12 games, and the guy did not blink.

Challenge them to show you the excluded list~~

On the off chance that you aren't joking, these trade in 4 games deals invariably require "four Xbox, GameCube or PlayStation 2 games."

Do they have to be all from the same console, or could you trade 2 GC, 1 PS2, 1 Xbox?

you can trade in 2 GC, 1 PS2 and 1 XBOX. But EB Games aren't supposed to accept the the POX titles on those 4 for 1 game trade ins. Basically any deal that says "Some Exclusions apply" don't allow POX. Or at least aren't supposed to. But if you find an incompetent EB, I say go for it!

Showing a list of non-excluded titles is a bitch because the list is pretty long to print and it shows all the preowned games available in the computer. My rule of thumb is basically any game that is sold for under $15 is almost guranateed to be a excluded (POX) title.

They really should rewrite "some exclusions apply" as "numerous exclusions apply"
