I see it only as a matter of time before the version 2.0 firmware is running emulators like version 1.52.

You know hardly anybody uses the hacks for homebrew.

99.99% of the people use it for roms or pirated games.

With such a large support base for PSP homebrews, I don't see how it will ever be avoidable.

The UMD loaders will be a larger problem, though, once memory stick prices drop over time.
