I bought some games from frys and they appeared to be factory sealed and everything but the sony sticker thing at the top is missing. I checked all the copies they had and non of them had it either. Then I started to look around at the other games and started to notice that quite a few games dont have the sticker there. Is this normal?

Yeah, Sony recently stopped putting these stickers on their games. Probably to cut back on costs.

I'm glad I know that. I remember the first time I got a GC game, I was like those SOB's resealed these. Then a friend that owned a GC told me.

That only makes resealing and reselling only that much easier for asses on the BAY.

I had to reply to this because I have not seen a new PS2 game without the seal along the top. I have a few sealed games released in the past few months that have the seal. Obviously, I haven't checked every game at the store, especially the Greatest Hits, but when scouring Toys R Us the past few days for deals, I distinctly remember all of the seals staring out at me.

Maybe the manufacturer for the Canadian stock still uses them.

Also, I tried searching for the "10 threads" concerning this topic and I came up with one, unless you read the entire site (I only searched the PS2 relevant forums).

And the possibility of getting residue left over for the seals that didn't want to come off cleanly.
